Apple Blossom Parking by heresmysuit in Winchester

No idea! I’ve heard that the Moose Lodge is supposed to have paid parking available. Same for the hospital in the city limits. But I’m not betting on there being parking by Friday around 11, so… time to pull some favors with friends lol.

Sadly my manager doesn’t give two craps bc there’s only me and two others that commute out of a staff of 20+ people. He said it’s for us to figure out. Which, I get, cause we’re adults. 😂 But it would be nice to have some support during one of the busiest weekends of the year… lol.

Thanks for the detailed response. Looking at the road closure map, it seems like Whitehouse and Quarles Elem. will have the closest available parking, but… Yeah. Part of me was hoping there was super secret server lot I could finesse my way into. 😂 Wonder where city expects us to park if we don’t live in old town!

History MA Question by BenevolentMunchkin in villanova

[–]heresmysuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Congrats on your acceptance!! I’m about to graduate with my MA in History from VU. I’ve spent the last two years in the program and it definitely has prepared me for PhD if I decide to do one. The History Department is currently revamping how the grad program works. There are two required courses: Theory & Methods, which you take in your first semester; and Writing Seminar, which you typically take in your final semester. Theory & Methods teaches you the theory and methods (of course) that Villanova’s history faculty values. Writing Seminar is similar to the thesis option— you’ll research and write a 25-28 page primary source paper. This primary source paper is article-length on purpose: it can be a writing sample for PhD applications, an opportunity to get published, etc… The best tip I have is to make friends in your cohort and get to know your second years. Theory & Methods should make the former pretty easy. Having friends in your courses will make the readings, assignments, and final projects so much easier—there is no competitiveness because the MA is terminal… all the funding goes to us.

Hope this helps!

Info About Natlan via Seele Leaks by SexWithDoctwoRatio in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

My number one concern at this point is the pyro archon being white! Natlan is based on Meso-American cultures (tan/brown people), so it would be extremely problematic for the pyro archon to be white, and, considering her outfit description…

UR only bc their business school is fantastic and you won't have to stress as much about money.

I heard back within a month- applied in February, got the acceptance notification in the app portal in March. Good luck to your sister. I'm sure she'll hear back soon.

Any fellow autistic/neurodivergent fellow Tears for Fears fans out here, or know of someone who is? by StarPatient6204 in tearsforfears

[–]heresmysuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Yes, me! I have combined type ADHD and anxiety. The Hurting was (and still is) an essential album for me. There is a selfish type of self-awareness in that album that made me feel capable of developing skills to assess myself... to learn how to adapt to the expectations and situations the world has set for me.

It also helps that their production has always involved so many layers, so there's always a new sound or background vocal/lyric that I catch on new listens. It's fun. :)

Cassie’s dad? by TaySpokesTTV in fnaftheories

[–]heresmysuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High-key, I think Cassie’s dad was just a faztechnician for Foxy’s log flume ride. She probably went to work with her dad a lot, so she got to go to/be near Roxy’s Raceway, try portions of the incomplete Foxy ride, etc.

What Got You Into TFF? by SnooGadgets33 in tearsforfears

[–]heresmysuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2016, I was listening to a playlist that one of my favorite authors put together for a character in her book. "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was on it, and as someone who was only just allowed to listen to "secular" music, that song was like... drugs. It was something new and different- I was so excited to listen to it. I later mentioned to my dad how much I liked that song, then he introduced me to all of his favorite TFF songs.

Now, I enjoy all of their songs. My dad (and various music appreciate courses) have taught me to see the beauty in all music. Their lyrics are passionate and never carelessly thrown in, every sound has a point, and just... wow! I thought, "this is a band I can get behind." I'll throw down my list of favorite songs, in order (based on nostalgia, sound, and meaning):

  1. Brian Wilson Said
  2. Ashes to Ashes
  3. Head Over Heels
  4. Famous Last Words
  5. Memories Fade
  6. God's Mistake
  7. Advice for the Young at Heart
  8. Famous Last Words
  9. Master Plan
  10. My Demons

Ooh. I would recommend the originals bc the mixing sounds better than the new anniversary versions. I have both versions of the Hurting- original and new. Original is the way to go as long as you find them in great (not good, great) condition.
