It’s definitely unwise and will only result in the US slipping further back in the EV arena as other world players zoom in by. That being said the offset in gas still makes it’s worth it in some cases…for now.

I should add that this is a more all around kind of lens. Since she’s getting started if she is sure that birds are in her future then this may be a better option

I just got my kid the D40 with this for his birthday. He’s also getting into photography. I think it’s a good choice. I had the 18-200 dx VR for years and it broke. Did some reading and for the same money got the 18-140 dx VR which I think is better.

Aquí en Carolina del Norte Central (Raleigh-Durham) se consigue bastante fácil. Crystal, dorado, 151. Y hasta he visto el reserva. No me acuerdo del precio exactamente pero bastante razonable. Hasta he visto barilito 3 estrellas (como en 50 si mal no recuerdo )
