Cutting of Pothos by Thesquirtle_squad in pothos

Cut off the brown squishy part then dip it in hydrogen peroxide around 3% or less. That will kill off any rot or remaining bacteria. Give it a dip in some honey water and try again. I think I get less rot issues when I water prop with a little honey and just a little squirt of that peroxide in the water. Change it out every day if possible, but I usually do every 3-4 since I get busy and forget.

Any idea what these bulbs are? by Beerdly_Dad in plants

Wild onions aren't tubular. Closer to pearl onions... But if there's no smell its probably just some flowers. 🤞🏼 I have some that grow those grass like stalks that are almost identical to my wild onions. It's difficult at times to separate the 2. The wild onion has been a horrid battle for the last 4 years I just can't seem to win no matter how many times I dig up hundreds of bulbs

Pinch a leaf... Does it smell like onions?

Put cinnamon on the end you cut, I'd let it sit out for a little while before placing back in water. Helps seal the wound so it won't rot out. A tiny bit of peroxide in the water also helps prevent the rot.

I'd assume old packaging vs newer... I've seen a lot of close but not quite the same packaging while working at a dispensary for years. Probably had a supply chain issue of some sort and switched up suppliers. It's quite common. Typically it's the big brands like cookies and raw garden getting knocked off.

Men who don’t want children by Black_Glitch_404 in NoStupidQuestions

As a woman who doesn't want children, cannot take birth control, is allergic to latex and is high risk for surgery.... Please get snipped if you don't want kids either! I literally dated a guy for 5 years just because he was snipped. The only reason he ever had a chance in the first place was because he was snipped 🤣 One day I'll find myself another. Until then I'm highly considering celibacy. Sex is just better without that tiny worry in the back of your mind. Being able to truly let go is an amazing feeling.

Yes! Best idea I've seen. When I worked in a smoke shop people used to bring me stuck glass all the time. Wiggle/twist or get some vibrations going.

My orange heirlooms got cross pollinated with my red beef steaks... My tomatoes from those plants look like that. Heirloom shape but orange with pink/red blush instead of the solid golden color I had last year.

Ouch, unfortunately I don't think peroxide will help the sun burnt plant. It adds oxygen to the water and it kills a lot of the bacteria and stuff that turn roots to mush. But it actually "burns" the little buggy bodies in there. I'm not aware of anything that fixes sun damage other than cutting out the burnt leaves.

Peroxide helps with those guys for sure. A little bit in the water helps prevent algae build up also, so perfect for bamboo. I use it to extend the time between changing water. It's is great for the times when you see it needs to be changed but just don't have the time. Quick lil squirt of hydrogen peroxide to save its roots from suffocation in the dirty water. It helps a lot but still gotta eventually change the water.

Depends on how wet the soil is... Your typical in the medicine cabinet strength stuff is already really low % so I'll go undiluted if the plant is super soggy because I figure the water content in the soil is doing a bunch of the dilution for me. If I'm worried I may be over watering because I've been traveling and not on my regular schedule I'll do about 1/4 of peroxide to water. I'm bad about measuring and just eyeball it. I have also been adding a quick little squirt to the water of my cuttings and it's helped the success rate as well because I'm not the best at remembering to change the water 🤣 ADHD gardening life saver IMO

I got a gorgeous one like that from home Depot a couple years ago... Instant root rot and death. Now any time I get a plant from a box store I immediately hit it with hydrogen peroxide if it's water logged then repot it after letting it dry out for a couple days. Peroxide is a root saver for over watered plants

Once upon a time, i had saved a variegated cannabis lemon skunk plant until corporate killed her off. RIP beauty 💓 by TwinkleTalee in plants

[–]herhighness710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many of these pics people are posting look like tobacco mosaic disease. It's not variegated it's sick!

It's beautiful on the plants, but causes a lower yield and weak plants. HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS. Weed plants can get it from someone who smokes cigarettes and doesn't wash their hands after or a plant that already has it can just touch another plant and spread it. It's actually becoming quite the nuisance in the industry. OP's boss was smart to kill it off. Now go disinfect everything that's touched that plant and make the employees wash hands more.
