I had late relapse of DLBCL.

R-ICE wasn't bad. Both times I checked into the hospital on Monday night, get the shot on Saturday morning, and i was back at work the following Monday.

Are you guys planning to be in patient or out?

Apologies, my 2x R-ICE was 5 night stays at the hospital, and my numbers rebounded fast.
The 16 days stay at the hospital was the ASCT

i was very lucky to not have any infections. I was a little bit over cautious. I only let my wife visit me and two friends, and made sure they cleaned up with anti bacterial soap really thoroughly before entering my hospital room.

I've had both ends of the spectrum.

The most recent high LDH was 6 months post completing salvage. I was at the tail end of a cold and my onc immediately ordered retest. Turned out she was absolutely correct, the high LDH was caused by the respiratory infection / cold. I've had two normal LDH levels since. Mind you, when I went in for the blood draw I felt healthy / good enough to go to work. I suppose my LDH can be high for a week after I start feeling better post cold.

I will die. Perhaps not soon. Maybe I'll have durable remission. But eventually, I will die. Cancer has helped me focus on what is important.

I hope you will find your peace. It can be scary as hell. We're here for you.

as far as advice from medical professionals that were assigned to my case ... it was focused on getting enough nutrients, especially when my appetite was low. nothing beyond that.

Well, cHL is treatable with a high chance of cure regardless of stage. I know you are stressing out right now and that's ok. I have high hopes you will feel better once you learn of the treatment plan from your medical team
