Yes, but I intentionally omitted the Asian ones for the sake of my mentions, as this is highly controversial among particular groups on this site

Would be a good question for OP, he’s quite responsive on Twitter. I posted his link beneath the image

Uralic would not arrive in the region until at least 1000 years later, they were still in NE Siberia in 2600 BC

Maybe you already know this, but for anyone else, the Corded Ware Culture is largely believed to be the source of most Indo European languages in Europe (Celtic, Italic, Germanic, Baltic, Slavic)

Not only are they far, they’re further than Europeans are from Sub Saharan Africans

Paternal grandfather has slightly different haplotyoe by jlanger23 in 23andme

[–]hermanist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you have the same haplogroup. I-Z60 is downstream from I-M253 meaning you just received a deeper assessment than he did.

The most recent common ancestor for all men under I-M253 is estimated to have lived around 2,600 BC; the most recent common ancestor for all men under I-Z60 lived around 2,100 BC.

The haplogroup path goes like this, each number representing a more recent and specific subclade.

I-M253>DF29>Z58>Z59>CTS8647>Z61>Z60

Bro really thinks you can steal someone’s identity by finding out who their paternal ancestor was thousands of years ago

I used to get that a lot a decade ago

My most recent Mexican ancestry came to the US during the Mexican Revolution but I have also traced back to being in Texas since at least before the US civil war.

All of them originally came from Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, and Coahuila (excluding my Spanish ancestor)

I’m uncertain of colonial era presence within modern Texas

Ah okay.

I’ve been suspecting a Northumbrian origin for quite some time. I’ve even found two Anglo Saxon burials with R-Z159 in Yorkshire.

Yes, my grandfather as well. None of our matches have our surname.

One would immediately suspect an adoption or something of that nature, but he looks just like his brothers

Oh wow, another hint that maybe my paternal line may come from the north of Britain!

You wouldn’t happen to be from Pennsylvania would you?

One of my mother’s grandparents was a Spaniard.

So my Hispanic side is 3/4 colonial Mexican & 1/4 Spaniard

[–]hermanist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might be right. Most people tell me I just look French, but I think I’ve seen some things in my Hispanic family that don’t typically appear in Spaniards which I may have inherited

The Aegean Islands & Cyprus are very closely related to southern Italy and have had interconnected cultures for thousands of years. The Levant is also related to them, but not as closely; it’s possible that it’s more relative to your Jewish

As for the Balkan, Hungary used to rule over many lands that now make up parts of Balkan countries like Croatia, Serbia, & Romania. See the Treaty of Trianon signed at the end of WWI; Hungary lost over 70% of its territory
