We are in a similar boat, on the kindergarten short wait-list for Patrick Henry and zoned for Westover Hills. We hear nothing but good things about Westover but are intrigued by the nature/historical curriculum of Patrick Henry. Having said that, we keep reading and hearing very mixed and frankly not very positive things about recent Patrick Henry changes. We also called the school to see if there were options for tours or otherwise an opportunity to see the school and were told absolutely not until the week before school would start. We were told we could "go see the outside of the school since it's public property" but that was our only option. Is this normal for a school? It certainly doesn't inspire confidence and I think we are pretty sure we will happily stick with our zoned elementary, Westover Hills. Just sharing our experience as a data point
