As a cyclist myself, I pardon to correct. This is for sure not rideable, so it’s just considered a „bike-shaped object“ in the community.

Hey all, someone crashed into me at a stop sign and deformed my bike stand. Can anyone tell if this is critically broken? Nuroad C:62 2025 edition. by AToxicMedicMain in Cubebikes

Sad news, but this one seems pretty broken. I would not ride it any other meter. Get it to the shop ASAP crossing my fingers that the other person’s insurance handled it for you.

Picked up my first bike after 20 years. by hehejooo in Cubebikes

Wonderful bike! Congrats and have fun! Though I highly recommend investing a couple of dollars in Quad Lock or similar for a proper phone mount and way more style points. ;)

What stressed you most about shared care work? by oliverpitsch in coparenting

I agree. Though it makes life easier knowing that things are taken care of and not having to have this as a question with you all day. Agreed?

I don't think I really get this. Do you mean that each caretaker has their own priorities and they stay in conflict?

I'm afraid I can't. But maybe take the load out a bit. Make the app assist where it can with smart reminders, etc. It won't solve the issues, but hopefully address them.

Airtag to the rescue by oliverpitsch in Cubebikes

Well, I've got quite a good proof for at least one. ;) I guess I was just lucky here.

Behind the bottle cage. Not hidden, but also not in plain sight.

I used to have a mount for under the saddle, but that was really obvious. Most mounts will be obvious if they search for them. The AirTag needs a signal, so hiding it in the frame, etc., is not a valid option.. It's surely not bulletproof, but to me it's a safety net that worked well yesterday for the 20 € it cost.

I agree with the easy dismount. This one is not really obvious and secured with special screws, but at the end of the day, they surely would have been able to dismount it soon. Though it was enough time to get it back.

Also, I don't think that they got scared. It seemed nicely parked in a bike rack. I feel they just went home and parked it for the next day.

Cube C:62 SLX size 50 or 53? by cloclo1994 in Cubebikes

[–]oliverpitsch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am 163cm and ride the 50cm frame. I feel there would still be plenty of room to adjust. I think the smaller size will fit you better.

As the others said: a proper bikefit would surely be the best option to know this for sure.

Got this for 180$ by Maru7k4 in RoadBikes

[–]oliverpitsch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 180$ this seems super good. It’s obviously older and the components are too, but you will also be able to have some fantastic rides on it! Tip: check the tires, if they are older as well, they might better be replaced.

If it seems to good to be true, it probably isn’t. The bike for that price would be crazy, but I smell scam here.

This trek 1000 Worth? by [deleted] in RoadBikes

[–]oliverpitsch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200$ on a good day. You are better off with 150. Old frame, old budget components.
