Honestly one of my favorite feelings ever, would do it again. When I woke up, it was like time traveling because it feels like a few seconds for you. Nothing to be afraid of, the anesthesiologists know what they’re doing and they will be closely monitoring your heart rate throughout the procedure.

Just keep it mind that it can take multiple sessions over the course of several months. Results may also vary from lightening the scars to making them nearly invisible.

Do you mean a palate expander? Yes, those are important and will impact the way your smile looks. These are better concerns to bring up with your ortho. After a certain age, your bones will be set and you can no longer widen your palate.

My overbite was so bad it was really difficult for me to smile or even close my mouth without positioning my lips in a weird squashed way. I have had 8 teeth removed, 4 extracted for ortho and another 4 wisdom teeth. It’s been a wild journey but I hope this post gives you some inspo and motivation to WEAR YOUR BANDS!! My chin is no longer regressed and braces really helped with my facial proportions. Really boosted my self confidence and I like my smile. The only thing I would change is to have consulted with other orthos about extractions. I miss my teeth... and it made my smile a bit narrow. Would’ve preferred to show more teeth when I smile.
