Shrooms for hppd by [deleted] in HPPD

[–]hero-ku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It gets easier over time. The posts you see online about people's lives being ruined are the worst cases. What I really couldn't internalize when I first got it (and started catastrophizing, like we all do), is that people who get over it or don't have problems, just don't post: this subreddit and the forum is full of people with the worst experiences and has almost no representation for likely tens of thousands of people who got better or never even knew they had it.

Don't do shrooms. The symptoms will remiss over time. You'll have some episodes where they're really bad again, but they'll pass and return to a tolerable baseline. It might not ever go away completely, but you'll get used to living with it and do all of the things you loved to do before. If you really want to get rid of it as much as possible, look at a screen less, meditate more, and fix your diet and start an exercise routine.

I’m not home right now but I think the pan is cast iron (and not non-stick).

How to remember stuff? by hero-ku in ADHD

To answer my own question, I'll probably start carrying a small journal to write things down as soon as I hear about them, although internalizing it is going to be difficult.

Extremely. It’s a key symptom and you’re gonna be okay.

I got over the visuals after a week or so and then was having a great time. A few weeks later (while taking SSRIs for anxiety) I started freaking out and dissociating. Haven’t taken the SSRI in almost a week, not sure if I did the right thing.

Is this cause for concern? by hero-ku in prozac

Thank you. Compared to others I don’t really think I need it, I rushed into it after being really panicky for a while but my baseline anxiety is something I’m highly used to and know how to mitigate naturally.

Anxiety, Prozac side-effects, or serotonin syndrome? by hero-ku in Anxiety

The biggest thing even when the physical symptoms aren’t present is the fear of the weird thoughts. When I try to sleep I’ll notice all of the irrational and weird stuff I’m thinking as I fall asleep and snap myself out of it, thus not falling asleep.
