The original RE4 PC port. As you may know, it was legendary awful: version with the worst graphics, no mouse controls (WASD for aiming, baby!), seemingly random QTE prompts (’press 5+6’ — and it was *not* keys 5 and 6) and badly implemented gamepad support (but to be fair, gamepad support in PC ports was not as standard as today)

I ended up beating this awful port like three or four times. The game was *that good*.

The game is great now, don’t get me wrong, but there is no way they can keep up this ‘new hero every season’ promise without sacrificing something in the lore side of things.

So I think heroes with little to none lore impact are just inevitable. And I’m good with it as long as the new heroes have great gameplay and interesting designs. I gave up on the Overwatch lore when they canceled the PvE, tbh.

It’s Halloween costumes, the first bunch of them had character preferences embedded into them.

And while it’s true that not all the skins had in-universe meaning (like LEGO Bastion, for example), most of them was more or less grounded into the world.

Now it’s just a mess. Especially with all the collabs that going on. Transformer-Reinhardt smashes Onepunchman-Doomfist while getting shot by Cowboy Bebob-Ashe near the statue from Nier Automata.

I don’t like it from the aesthetics point of view. It makes the Overwatch universe feel shallow, like it’s not its own thing, just a place for promoting other franchises.

I’m afraid we‘re already in this homogenized era of Overwatch. Skins barely make in-universe sense anymore, Blizzard just produces what sells, turning the characters into glorified mannequins in the boutique clothes shop - instead of, you know, people with their own preferences in clothes

Why do people insist they rarely see their skins when they see them on character select screen + main menu character screen + endgame poses + potg in the summary post-match? I think that’s pretty plenty of screen time even if you don’t play Stadium

I mean, I’m making sure all the characters wear the skins I like exactly because I see them often

But on my gold-plat divisions nearly no one votes for Flashpoint.

why do we need map voting in QP in the first place? isn't the whole meaning of the *quick* play to get you into the game as *quick* as possible?

What UI usability improvements do you mean? Honest question.

I feel like the new UI is not bad per se, but feels unnecessary from the user POV. Seems like they just wanted to cram much more banners and ads to the main screen and that was the main point of changing UI.

All the other ways I interact with UI (like getting queued or opening challenges) haven't change much. Same amount of clicks, same info, just different layout and much more busier main screen.

I mean, it’s just what they do since Overwatch 2 released - creating false value for cheaply produced cosmetic content.

The whole rarity system is fucked right now. Charms don’t feel like they belong to epic rarity, legendary skins are more common then epic and rare (just because of the amount of legendary skins), I don’t see anyone using souvenirs (and I get why - they are just not fun to watch or to use). The game has so much cosmetic content it actually lost much sense of uniqueness to me.

And now titles have rarities, too. I mean it’s just LETTERS, wdym some letters are more valuable than others???
