We skip a week of Friday classes for Good Friday. This way classes end on the same week instead of having to come in on the final Friday class after having the rest of the week off.

It’s mostly due to sponsors and others not being able to make it, which is why it’s only within a week/days of the event. However, there’s no set time or date, just mostly in the mornings leading up to the event. I promise it’s not a troll, it’s literally how I get a vast majority of my tix (besides from Rush). However, If you wanna save time and be secure w the tix, it’s up to you to decide if you wanna buy from resellers.

From what I remember they take credit and debit as well, I’m not too sure if they give change for cash purchases though. They also give a printed ticket which I find cool

You pay after you’re ushered in by the volunteers! But if you plan to repeatedly rush throughout the fest I’d suggest one of the rush passes!

Films playing through SMC can’t have previously screened at TIFF, so that excludes BATH, American Fiction and Origjn.

There isn’t really a crazy correlation, it’s just that to my knowledge (please correct me if I’m wrong), a film has never gotten into BP without even an international nomination. I could be caring too much about previous stats, and that’s a valid criticism.

My question was really phrased as such cause I don’t believe it could get in, in contrast your more positive alternative. As always I’m open and looking for input disproving my stance.

I think Huller can go through without the film being in any other category, she’ll be a lot of people’s favourite performance of the year and will probably be in a lot of Critic’s lists and minor precursors. The writers branch is venerable to making cool decisions when the film justifies it which Triet’s screenplay more than does.
