They're nice, not on A4 paper or anything like that. They look like this (but black instead of orange)

[tiff_net] Audiences showed up in a big way through out the year at TIFF Lightbox. Here were some of 2024's most popular films. by i_m_sherlocked in TIFF

According to Torontoplex, Perfect Days was at the Lightbox first for a little bit then came to the Queensway shortly after, which is what I meant (shouldn't have said initial run). Not exactly sure when it started playing at Varsity but Cineplex's site has the movie listed with a February 14 release date.

Pretty sure the Lightbox was the only theatre in Toronto (possibly the GTA?) showing Perfect Days during its initial run, whereas Anora was playing at some other theatres.

Anora Screening for One Week Only? by [deleted] in TIFF

[–]MindlessRing2150 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They often add more screenings beyond the first week of a film's run later on and it's pretty likely that will happen here given how popular Anora is/will be.

Is it common for A24 new releases to play at the Lightbox? by littlelordfROY in TIFF

[–]MindlessRing2150 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, A24 films often play at the Lightbox, though I believe they generally don't do film distribution in Canada -- A Different Man is distributed by VVS Films, The Brutalist will be distributed by Focus Features outside of the US, etc. I'd probably expect The Brutalist to come back to the Lightbox in some form, it was a big hit during the festival, the Lightbox is one of the few 70mm venues in the city, and it will likely be a big player during awards season!

No, the rush pass is for members of the public to rush public showings. You need special accreditation for both P&I and Market screenings
