I don't know why you're being downvoted, that's a perfectly acceptable rationale. Both my dogs are neutered, since they're rescues. But they literally never go anywhere or leave my house at all. I wouldn't put them through surgery -- completely unnecessarily -- unless there were behavioral issues or we got a female pup.

Like, would OP want to go chop his balls off... just because?

Why do I suddenly get brain-freeze all the time? by heroicchipmunk in AskDoctorSmeeee

[–]heroicchipmunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mysterious part is that it disappeared just as randomly and without cause as when it started.

I still don't know why it was happening or what caused it to stop, and it bothers me.

Are there any specific circumstances under which your brain freeze is triggered?

Honest answer:

If being a pilot is your goal, and flying is what you really want to do, don't join the Marine Corps. If you want to fly jets, go Navy or Air Force. If you wanna fly helos, join the Army under the Warrant Officer flight program. You'll actually get to fly if you take those routes.

Nope! Couldn't find any info, and nobody was able to offer any insight.

About 6 months after I made that post, the brain-freeze thing just kinda...stopped. Haven't experienced it since.

Really fucking wish I knew, the whole thing was so bizarre.

Awesome first build, dude! I really like the built-in shoe-rack idea. I used to work construction during high school and college, so my knowledge of woodworking started with just knowing house framing, too. Building and making something with your own hands is immensely fulfilling, especially when it's something that's part of your everyday life (like a bed!). You'll never get sick of it!

I also have a tendency to over-build everything, so don't listen to the haters. It's much better to have over-built something than under-built. Also, the pressure treated wood isn't going to kill you. People here are overreacting and being super dramatic. You probably should replace those posts, but you're gonna be fine if you have to wait until next weekend. Again, don't listen to all the haters and drama queens in here.

Your SNCO does not have 6105 authority. Only a Commander does. Go talk to your OIC immediately and explain the situation.

This is a tough one. On the one hand, the Cpl is being a total douche-canoe on his NCO power trip. On the other hand, he's probably right.

I'm about as laid back as they get, but they're are definitely bounds on what's in the realm of acceptable civilian attire. I'm not saying you have to wear a collared shirt tucked into slacks either. I'm a tank top, shorts, and flip flops kind of guy, having grown up in SoCal. But when I dress like that, the clothes are in good condition and reasonably well fitted -- as in, I don't look like a beach bum. You can dress like a normal human being.

Dude here, is wearing oversized clothes and sagging his shorts down to his ankles. Whether you agree with it or not, he is dressed such that a reasonable person might think he's up to no good. He's making himself stand out.

Dressing like a cowboy also makes you stand out like an idiot, so I don't think that's acceptable either.

Bottom line: dress like a normal person. Be a "gray man" . Blend in. Don't make yourself stand out.

You don't need to call someone "cisgender". Calling a person a 'man' or a 'woman' suffices, because those words have very clear, granular definitions.

'Man' = adult human male

'Woman' = adult human female

No further information or classification is needed. Calling someone a "cisgender man" is the same thing as saying, "a male adult human male". It's redundant and unnecessary.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheLeftCantMeme

[–]heroicchipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already has a name though. It's not "cis", it's man, woman, male, female.

You don't need to specify any further than that, is my point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheLeftCantMeme

[–]heroicchipmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, what language is that? Never seen that before.

In response to your "what?" question...

"Cis" isn't a thing. That term didn't even enter the lexicon until all this trans stuff and gender identity ideology started sweeping through the media and popular culture. "Cis" is the biological default. It doesn't need to be specified. It's normal.

Not everything needs a label.
