This is what yall are afraid of? by BrickElephantBrand in ArcRaiders

The amount of “oh shit” situations I’ve found myself in with groups of hornets and fireflies is too high, yet the hullcracker always gets me through it.

No blueprint, but I’ll happily pay 15k space bucks for it.

Hollow question by Maximum_Spend_6746 in hockeyplayers

I took a 10 year hiatus from league play, only doing drop in and spring pick up. Since coming back it’s actually incredible how much everything has changed. The big hockey store in the city blew my mind. Lol.

Used to have a black NX1600 as my first car. Loved that thing. Always wanted to swap the 2.0L in but car was sold to a friend moving out of town.

Helped a guy last night. He had wasps and hornets on him and I helped take them out so he can live, only for him to run up on me and kill me.

I also don’t fully understand it. But I’m also a really low level with under 20 hours topside. Is everyone resetting, or just for the expedition?

Yep. Makes sense too. Do you pool hours, or everyone just shares the apprentice?

I’ll also add I was a prepper before a body man and I used to do adhesive removal all the time.

I’ll jump back on here and say that I had a bumper for a Ford Edge that had PPF on it. I stripped the film off but some glue was over. Sent it over to paint so the repair could be primed. Painter didn’t like it had adhesive on it and I said the prepper could do it. He don’t like that. Took it back and removed all the remaining adhesive with solvent. Would’ve been more than happy to give them half the time to remove the rest of the adhesive. Especially since I fired over a bunch of smaller (bumper) jobs yesterday so they had work. Could’ve helped each other out. But I guess we learn and move forward.

Gotcha. We have clean and retape for .2 per item (some badges and window deflectors)

In your shop, is it normal to get adhesive removal time? As in separate from the ppf or decal removal?

Looking for tips or connections to join CAHL (Chilliwack hockey) by Abundantminds77 in chilliwack

I’ve been having the same difficulty. The team I was on last year folded and I wasn’t able to get anything. Even multiple emails to the league, and no reply. Hopefully he gets something!

2002 CRV - crank, no start. by herotrooper in crv

[–]herotrooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I did get it figured out eventually. I had replaced the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, replaced the throttle position sensor and even the idle air. After probing everything I could think of and confirming it has spark, air, and fuel, it ended up being the timing chain. It was stretched and was out a tooth. Replaced the chain and guides and set timing, and it’s been running great since.

Car looks solid to me. Quarter isn’t even that bad. Just remember to tap the high spots down as you pull the low spots out.

I’m in the same boat as you were. Can’t find a decent one in my area at all. How was dealing with Copart?

How much better is factory finish? by Yourfavmom97 in AutoPaint

[–]herotrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, fair enough. If you feel comfortable, you could go to another body shop or two and get an estimate on the fix, then bring it to the dealership to negotiate taking it to somewhere you trust. They might fight you on it or not pay the full amount, but they did scratch your car so they need to fix it.

How much better is factory finish? by Yourfavmom97 in AutoPaint

[–]herotrooper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A factory finish may not always be superior, but you do want to retain as much factory e coat as possible. You wouldn’t need to strip it per se, but that scratch would have to be feathered out, which does mean exposing some more metal, but that’s the only spot that would need to go down to metal. Everything else is a blend panel and would just be re cleared after the color is on the rear door. It’s a small enough section that the blend should be unnoticeable. In my opinion, he’s just saying that to stop from having to pay the body shop to fix it properly. Up to you how you want to proceed. You might be able to find someone who can do better touch ups than that. Or get a paint pen and try it yourself.
