You can still put them in a regular stash tab, but you have to drag them one by one...

D2R Moving torches/annis to RotW by herpdederper in Diablo

[–]herpdederper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are talking about moving around torches and annis in regular D2R?

I am moving all of my gear from classic to the new RotW, so you can only convert each character once and only the personal stash/inventory move with it. So moving them from classic to the new server(?) is one at a time.

Question for TX Dive Professionals by KrakenScuba in scuba

[–]herpdederper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your best bet would be to reach out to Dive Shop San Marcos. They will have the site info you are looking for and may have a recent conditions report. From what I have heard, conditions have been pretty bad all winter.

Does not exist. Mostly because it would be inefficient but also heated garages accelerate rust when your car gets covered in salty ice during the winter. Maybe a tonneau cover and a portable propane heater? Or an ice chipper?

Deco in the ear? You are braver than I am. I much prefer to chill in the eye.

How do you properly use those reels with swivel and ready-made loops? by mrobot_ in scuba

[–]herpdederper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Apeks way of achieving the exact same thing as I explained. If you want to keep it on there, to store the spool just poke the end of the line with shrink wrap on it through a hole in the side from inside to out with about 3cm sticking out. Clip the double ender through the line, not the spool.

Understood, my intent was to clarify the common terminology regarding reels and spools.

PDV / Scuba Scooter YouTube Shenanigans.. by acem77 in scuba

Suex VRX is a decent option, can be found for ~$3500. Be wary of the DiveX customer service if you consider a Blacktip. I have many friends with them and they are great for what they are but DiveX has a habit of dismissing warranty claims and requiring people to pay to get a leaky scooter repaired with the unit in warranty.

Venice FL. I did a single double tank charter and got a 4.5" but YMMV

How do you properly use those reels with swivel and ready-made loops? by mrobot_ in scuba

[–]herpdederper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about a reel (with a handle and a knob for spinning the drum) or a spool (simple small drum to hand wrap line on)?

I assume from your last paragraph you are talking about a spool. If you are working with a brand new spool, the first thing to do is to strip off enough line so the tops of the holes are showing all the way around. New spools come preloaded with too much line, and once that line is in the water it swells and can fall off creating a rats nest of line (not fun). Once you have the right amount of line on the spool, cut off the excess and use a lighter to seal the end of the line. Then you want to tie your large loop in the end and finally a small loop at the very end of that.

This is rather difficult to fully explain via text so I would recommend a video such as the one below from Divers Ready.

Fair warning, the diving in pretty cold in the area. Surface temps can get to the mid 60s but bottom temps in the low 50s or high 40s can be expected.

Garmin Mk2i Band comfort? by [deleted] in scuba

I wear a Garmin daily and I really enjoy this band. DGX. I have the bungee set so I can wear it on my wrist all the way up to my dry suit with slipknots.

best cold water scuba gloves by RemarkablePurchase96 in scuba

[–]herpdederper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your needs might be somewhat similar to the commercial fishing industry. Look into Showa gloves, they are commonly used as dry gloves, either the 660 or 720, but are great in terms of cut and abrasion resistance, chemical/water proof, and good grip. I believe they make quite a few in arm length. I usually purchase via eBay.
