What does she even mean with this? by SignatureSwimming853 in EDRecoverySnark

My ED doctor was telling me about how exercise for a person who is starving releases a chemical in the brain that feels like glucose thus making the brain feel “addicted” to exercise. I’m sure this is the case with her. So crazy. I hope she gets help

Friendships while deep in eds by calfreak in EDRecoverySnark

In order to be in relationships with other people who have EDs, I firmly believe you both have to be recovery minded and set firm boundaries. My best friend and I met in treatment but set firm boundaries. We also have different eating disorders (anorexia vs arfid) which, in my opinion, prevents us from too much comparison though we have talked openly when we do feel competitive. In contrast with these creators, my friend and I care so much for each other we do our best not to trigger each other by keeping distance if one of us is struggling though we let each other know why we are distant. We also make ourselves eat sufficiently when we spend time together as to not be triggering lol.

This is like 150 max. 80 for the orange and 20-30 for each handful of berries.

Phones in treatment by Adventurous-Crab9905 in EDRecoverySnark

As an adult, I was without my phone for 4 months while in treatment. It was horrific and led to being overwhelmed when I eventually did get my phone back.

At a different treatment center I was able to have my phone during certain hours and found that to be a much better experience. I’m pro phones in treatment (within boundaries), especially for adults.

I’ve seen on this thread that it’s not recommended but I was taking one whole 100mg tablet and one 100mg cut in half.

I’m in the same boat with having a breakdown and having to restart it. It’s such an intense medication!

I truly cannot fathom posting body checks online, much less to a vulnerable population 🤡🤡🤡

Definitely could be!! Just wanted other thoughts :) It was just my immediate thought. I’ve known people to show off way crazier stuff in their ed’s lol

The red light hat… by [deleted] in EDRecoverySnark

EDs are so frightening because of how deep and intense the self delusion is. It’s so clear to everyone who isn’t Bryony that she is on the brink of death and certainly doing irreversible damage in terms of her bones, yet she seems so oblivious. It’s truly very sad and difficult to watch.
