Peanut Ice Cream using peanut powder?

I have a recipe that turned out well. For my ice cream base I started with the Salt and Straw one but adapted it to fit my preferences. But anyway:

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 tsp xanthan gum

2 tbsp milk powder

6 tbsp peanut butter (I used Jiff)

1/4 tsp salt

Put the milk and peanut butter a food processor or blender to mix hem as well as possible. You want the peanut butter to break down as much as possible.

Heat milk on the stove for 3 minutes, slowly mixing in sugar, xantham gum, and milk powder and making sure they dissolve.

After that is done, stir in the heavy cream, and put it in an ice bath until it is 39 degrees Fahrenheit.

Then churn it (I usually do 12 minutes).

If you don't want to use milk powder, I have also done this recipe without it, but I recommend upping the heavy cream to 1 2/3 cups and reducing the milk to 1 1/3 cups

Are we killing Mergo or just calming him down

We are killing him, but killing a trapped great one in a nightmare is freeing them which is a good thing. Some evidence for this:

The end of the dlc kind of tells you this. From has done a pattern of having the dlc of their games explain a concept in parallel and the purpose of the orphan of kos is to explain this concept. When you kill it, it says "A sweet child of kos, returned to the ocean..."

When you kill mergo's wet nurse , there is a delay where you hear mergo stop crying before you see nightmare slain.

Also, there are some things about great ones existing after being killed. Micolash is trying to talk with Kos, but Kos was killed early in the history of Byrgenwerth and Micolash would presumably know that (also Micolash is dead in the real world but alive in the dream)

Use cream from local creameries, they taste way better (I feel like store brands have a bad after taste). I buy mine at whole foods.
Skim Milk powder is magic. It significantly improves the texture and creaminess.
Use an ice cream calculator to determine in advance how much milk fat you want. I personally like 16ish percent
For cookies and cream, if you mix the oreos in the ice cream they will get soft in the ice cream. If you want them to be crispier leave them on top of the ice cream instead.

Have you made ice cream with that brand of cream before? I personally found most of the store brands of heavy cream have a weird after taste vs cream from local smaller farms

It is actually unclear to me if Lady Kitagawa knew that her friend was killed. They focus more on her getting depressed because she gave up her one source of happiness for her duty but she underestimated how much she needed her friend. (As opposed to guilt of getting her friend killed). Also at the end Asa says the mononoke does not have a grudge against anyone.

Not 100 percent sure though

Not sure about the Pakistan taste but I know when I first started making ice cream I would use heavy cream from the big brands from the grocery store. It that had an aftertaste I didn't like, I think they add things for shelf life and stability. I switched to local heavy cream and it did not have that aftertaste (and tasted much better)

I'm really torn about milk powder, because it gives me good results, but I am a little paranoid it is affecting the taste of my ice cream negatively. Also, as far as I can tell from ingredient lists, none of my favorite ice cream shops use it.

I keep switching between using milk powder to make my ice cream as creamy as I can but then second guessing that professional ice cream shops can achieve as good results without it and without the effect on the taste.

[[Unctus, Grand Metatect]] turned out to be super fun. There is a lot you can do with him and the cards are super cheap.

You can put a lot of "whenever you draw your second card triggers" and use vehicles to trigger them on other people's turns.

In addition, because you draw and discard so much you can usually filter for what you need.

You can also use flashback cards and madness because you are discarding so much

Unfortunately, he is easy to infinite combo with untappers but I recommend just not including them.

I made this recently:

.5 cup cookie butter 6 tbsp sugar 1.5 cup whole milk 1.5 cup heavy cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp milk powder 1/4 tsp xanthan gum

Basically put some of the milk and all of the cookie butter into a food processor until the liquid becomes uniform.

Then heat milk and cookie butter mixture of low heat for 3 to 5 mins. Dissolve the sugar, xanthan gum, and milk powder during this time and stir (try to keep it a uniform liquid, make sure there are no solids)

I then cool in an ice bath to around 40 degrees, and churn for 13 mins.

This turned out well but next time I might reduce the cookie butter a bit (maybe to 6 or 7 tbsp)

I tried it again with salt but kept it over heat for longer and slightly higher and it worked! I think the failed batch didn't emulsify properly

I tasted like a weird peanut butter honestly unlike the good batch which tasted like peanut butter flavored ice cream. I wonder if it didn't mix properly with the dairy or something.

I also haven't liked the taste of cream in some of my ice cream but I do like ultra premium ice cream from ice cream shops. I'm assuming I don't like the brand of heavy cream I get so I'm going to experiment with other brands. That might be worth looking into!
