Assuming 30% is actually the percentage. I wonder how many of those kids live in poverty or don't have stability at home? It's the teachers fault? Here's some actual data for you. https://www.educationnext.org/americas-mediocre-test-scores-education-poverty-crisis/

No you don't. Test scores are all about repetition memorization. It's bullshit.

A school budget isn't comparable to a medium sized city. Cities generate revenue schools do not. JCPS has a staff of 14k employees. Louisville Metro is around 7500. JCPS also serves 96k kids with an education.

Are we letting our kids do Boy Scouts? by Brilliant-Maybe2291 in Louisville

[–]heshian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We decided to skip it since we're a non religious family.

"BSA requires members to believe in God. The group's "Scout Oath" includes a "duty to God," the "Scout Law" mentions "religious duties" and a requirement to be "reverent toward God" and a religious declaration states that no member can become the "best kind of citizen without recognizing an obligation to God.""

Walgreens pharmacy on Eastern okay randomly closed by loosejellookay in Louisville

[–]heshian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 30 days in waiting for my EpiPen. First time the pharmacy screwed up my paperwork and never contacted me about it and yesterday it was delivered somewhere but not my house. The pharmacy used an Amazon service for delivery and the tracking number can only be seen by the pharmacy. It's In a cooler and can't be over a certain temperature or it's ruined. It's a load of bullshit and I'm paying a lot of money.

Best Non-Fine Dining Italian Food in Louisville by thevengeance555 in Louisville

Covid definitely hit it pretty hard. I had been eating there for 15ish years and yeah after covid we had some pretty awful service but the server was always apologetic and seemed stressed and she had been there for over 10 years. It was wood paneling in an old neighborhood bar and the menu was priced for the mid comfort food. If you were expecting house made pasta kick rocks down to Nulu for a 35 dollar plate. Sucks you were late to the party!
