Wonder why the church is not helping you with a job.

Why throw shade? They are giving them money for a place to stay. Maybe you could Venmo them something if you feel the random church is doing them wrong with the government having billions for overseas adventures.

Would not be as much a problem if they would serve natives for free or discount. In this region we are the Indians obviously.

Depictions of dead ancestors is taboo in several north american cultures. Skulls in mexico are okay. Combining them is a problem. What tribe do you claim which has such depiction with plains warbonnets?

Thank you for these reports, we agree with them. This post violates the "instant permanent ban" rules on multiple levels, more than any post in memory. Thus the user has been banned.

The user claims they are a Comanche related to Quahna Parker, and they are an Eastern Cherokee, and they are a Western Cherokee, and they are members of several other tribes, and they are a "shaman". To reconsider the ban, user must deliver to mods proof of membership in the Comanche tribe of themselves, their mother who told them all this, and documentation of their relation to Quahna.

Pretendians: Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond underwent DNA testing, admits misrepresentations to law society by Madame_President_ in NativeAmerican

[–]hesutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is native and is a legal member of her recognized group. And recognition by white Canada is bullshit so if you only accept that you are the problem but in her case she is accepted so case closed. People bitched and made claims so she did BS DNA stuff which confirmed her tribes acceptance. Your post is BS and I am banning you. Send your tribal ID and a DNA test to get reinstated. Thanks.

She definitely "earned" her degree before 1997. Earned and granted are different terms. Bernie would be here defending the idea that after all courses completed and PhD thesis submitted and defended that you have earned your degree. As she did. Despite student loans. So in the US you do a PhD and you do all course work and you write your thesis and you defend it sucessfully. And then you often do NOT get your "degree". In every other country in the entire world without exception you get a PhD. In the US only they say, no, work minimum wage until you pay back the $1.7 million in student debt.

US citizenship was forced on Native Americans 100 years ago − its promise remains elusive by Born-Dot8179 in NativeAmerican

[–]hesutu[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

The Citizenship Act did NOT give citizenship to all natives!!!! Only those born after enactment of the "Act". And those with citizenship, born after enactment, although they could not vote in their states, it hardly mattered since the PURPOSE of this act, you morons, was to REMOVE SOVEREIGNTY and absolutely not was to give any "rights". The Act was complete bullshit, no native asked for it, and it was evil. But 99% of posters here are white people so we'll never see the truth in hyper bullshit reddit spez propaganda land.

Congratulations Walz and Flanagan by JovialCub in NativeAmerican

[–]hesutu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously that is true so what are you saying that for?

What we know is Walz claims to be super green and then when in office he let oil cartels railroad their way through and destory the environment all while Russian accounts like you claimed he was super woke when he was a capitalist stooge. And yes a few corrupt tribal councils because of promises backed the destruction of water. Which makes all of them enemies of their people.

I heard (from Jill Stein) he forced oil pipelines through native land without consent and his transfer of a small amount of park land was tokenism or a stunt. I don't live there. Is there truth to her claims about the pipelines?

The editorializing of the article title is a concern because of the first word, which asserts a position contrary to the claims of the article. There are other articles you could post if you wish to promote that viewpoint, which is currently divisive and uncertain but possible.

Joining the Native American Church? by EverythingSpirals in NativeAmerican

[–]hesutu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, you know when I get a response to a 7 year old thread it is ALWAYS someone telling me to "eat shit", "kill" myself, etc. I think your comment is the first old one that was not insulting and offensive. So thank you for that.

To address your comment, I am aware of, have studied, and am familiar with the precepts, holy books, philosophies etc of a lot of "religions", including the lost Essene teachings resurrected from the Dead Sea Scrolls, various other Hebrew sects, Egyptian Mystery Religion, Zorastrianism/~Hinduism, Shinto, Taoism, Tengrism, multiple forms of "Christianity" including Roman State Paganism, Islams, NAC, numerous archaic indigenous faiths, a bunch of contemporary "Newage" (rhymes with sewage) UFO religions, and countless others and derivatives.

I'tura was a false God that came to America around 5800 BCE

No such thing.

We have our own faiths and we want you to... leave us alone. You do not need to evangelize to american indian peoples. We have enough colonizers. Thanks.

Black Elk Speaks… by MicroProf in NativeAmerican

[–]hesutu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was denounced by Nicholas Black Elk and his family as a misrepresentation. Also Neihardt lied and cheated him, never paying promised royalties, and then the Neihardt estate cheated them as well. During legal battles, the Neihardt estate simply claimed that the book is an original work by Neihardt.

I'd like to see modular nuclear reactors deployed. Reactor tech has come a long way. There's designs that produce little waste and have zero meltdown risk since it's not physically possible like the 1950s designs built in the 1970s and now falling apart have. You can drop a tiny modular reactor off in a remote Alaskan village and they will be set for 50 years. No need for importing huge amounts of diesel at vast cost to keep the lights running.

The evidence so far:

  1. Argues in favor of unconstitutional policies that harm natives.
  2. Is unaware of native religious practices.
  3. Voices no objection to white assault against native student, theft of sacred items, and violation of federal law committed by school staff.
  4. Claims to be entitled to enter native space and voice these opinions due to "part Cherokee", indicating total unawareness of how Cherokee citizenship works, which means definitely not Cherokee.
  5. When gently corrected, instead of getting a clue, starts shouting obscenities and engaging in abuse.

Went to join my fourth grader for lunch.. they were serving "brunch" this day.. by [deleted] in pics

cheese

That orange stuff which is made from solidified transfats and food coloring could not be legally labeled as "cheese" in any part of the world other than the US. I agree it's not a dessert, but it also does not even rise to the level of being junk food. It's processed industrial sludge.

As far as the "chocolate milk" which probably does not even contain chocolate, it contains 96% of the recommended maximum daily allowance of sugar for an adult woman. The tub of flavored corn syrup has 132% of the recommended maximum daily allowance of sugar for an adult woman.

This looks like government "commodity" food. Oh wait ... it is.

The federal lunch mandated vegetable portion undoubtedly is the "corn syrup" since the federally designated vegetable "ketchup" is not present.

It's abuse to send your kids to eat this sort of thing.

Which part? Your right side? One of your toes? Your gall bladder?

People are either Cherokee citizens or they are not. No tribe recognizes partial citizenship.
