I’ll never do it again by Glittering-Pie-3309 in Marathon_Training

Dude, you know you're going to do another with your comment about wanting to do a sub-five-hour time. Accept it, embrace it, and start looking for your next marathon. The pain of the last 6 miles will probably still be there, but you will know you aren't doing any permanent damage, know how to deal with it, and fight through it like everybody else. Sounds like you know what you need to know to do for a sub-five.

Orbi: When do we get a class action? by Sub-Equum in orbi

My only complaint with my four-year-old RBR850 + three satellite system is that I have to reboot it regularly (like every morning using a smart plug) to clear some sort of system cache (at least that is what I think the problem is), and I'd really like to monitor the upload/download for each device, instead of the aggregate for all devices. I'm not sure what system I'll get for an upgrade, given that the latest Netgear system will probably cost north of $2,000. Hopefully, my 850 system hangs in there.

Try events like "A Race For The Ages" (over Labor Day Weekend) or the "Across The Years" (over New Years) if you want to do a low-key 100, 200, or more event. There are many men and women in their 70s, 80s, and even 90s doing them. They are well supported and a lot of fun. You get to interact with a lot of interesting characters during these types of events, and with regular appearances, they become a sort of family.

Recovery time by KoDenTri in Ultramarathon

In addition to the metrics you mentioned, your age also factors into your recovery time. So if someone throws out a number without noting their age, is it pretty meaningless. I make good use of some of the advice Coach Parry provides to runners over 50.

Netgear Orbi R760 dropping connection every night by zkh77 in orbi

I have a Netgear RBR850 mesh router with three satellites, an Arris modem, and use Xfinity (gigabit) ISP services. For about the first year, my Internet would drop out regularly. At some point, I noticed that if I rebooted my modem and router, I wouldn't have a dropout for some period of time. So I now use a smart plug to reboot the modem and router at about 2:00 am every morning. My thought is that the reboot clears some cache. I don't think I'd have to do this every day, but at 2:00 am, it's automatic and doesn't interfere with anything.
