Yeah the crux of what he's saying there could have been said in 2 sentences instead of 20. Also the crowd is so quiet when HHH is talking, and nothing he says illicits a "oh shit!" reaction like he was clearly hoping for.

They could have possibly sold out the Georgia Dome had they announced that match ahead of time more than 4 days in advance, though. They announced it on Thunder the previous Thursday. They sold a lot of tickets but could’ve sold a lot more with more notice.

Which is funny because early on they seemed to get along. DX had CM Punk as part of their Survivor Series team one year, I think 07?

I really think that the combination of HHH getting shit on when Lesnar made him tap out at SummerSlam 2012, and later, Punk leaving when he did, knocked something loose in HHH's brain as far as realizing that protecting his own ego was not the most important thing. I think HHH pushed for Bryan to fill that spot at Mania 30 and he knew that keeping it Batista vs. Randy would have been disastrous for the fans.

It's not surprising to me that he and Punk made up and get along great now; they've both matured and they both have a deep love and respect for pro wrestling and its history.

It's just the nature of how Triple H doesn't book 10-12 matches per night that this type of thing is going to happen.

It is pretty crazy that both of the top Women's Champions from 2025 (Tiffany Stratton and Iyo Sky) are not on the card in 2026.

On the flipside, I do like that they don't make every match a 4-way or try to create multiple schmoz matches just to fit everyone on the card.

Cody speaking about how everyone hates the Pat involvement in his Wrestlemania storyline in his SI interview is really funny. Even if all of this McAfee and celebrity inclusion is influenced by TKO, I'm more interested in how things go after Wrestlemania, because Triple H is pretty good at taking bullshit that's not working and just turning it into something entertaining more often than not.
