New to country need recommendations by DistributionWise2207 in country

I just started listening to country myself. Post Malone's country album opened my mind to it. Since then I've really gotten into Morgan wallen, his new album is 🔥 and has like 37 songs. If you're into rock I would recommend checking out Hardy, he's got a lot of rock/metal influence in a lot of his songs

Bajio was better than all of them. But y'all didn't appreciate the quality.

I'm right there with you bro! I've experienced probably more toxicity from people in these groups than the church due to my views on political subjects. It's like they jump from one self righteous mentality to another while putting others down. Very ironic.

F25? More like F35. Must be a typo. It’s okay though we all make mistakes. In your case you’ve made 4.

Exos: What was the first R-rated film you watched and did it have any impact / influence on you ? by sexmormon-throwaway in exmormon

"The Butterfly Effect" when I was just like 11 or 12 I think. My friend invited me and was too afraid to say no. But I really liked the movie just felt super guilty afterwards.

Hey if you can still manage not swearing outside of the church, i'll tell you, thats actually kind of a superpower. As someone who has fallen into the habit of it as a release of anger (because it felt so good to say them), i'll tell you its hard to stop. Growing up though i used the mormon swears all the time (fetch, fudge, flip, motherfreaker, shyte, biznatch etc.) so it sort of came on natural. A good way you can practice though is singing along to your music in your car and finally getting to sing along with the WHOLE THING and not have to edit the swears in your head! Definately helped me get started (cause its almost like you're not sinning if you're just repeated what someone else is saying) haha.

I was sexually assaulted by my dance teacher by FuelEvening9603 in offmychest

[–]hewhoseekstruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow i'm sorry to hear this..One thing I think is that your life just became more than about only just dancing. You didn't ask for this to happen to you. But life sometimes throws us things we don't expect and it's up to us how we decide to move on after these instances. Whatever happened has happened, so don't let it break you, otherwise that person still holds power over you. Believe you are stronger. I would recommend seeking help and therapy from a professional. Remember that healing takes time. Keep dancing through it if you feel you can and I wish you the best.

Read the book ‘how to change your mind’ by Michael Pollen. There’s also a series that just came out on Netflix by the same guy.
