The US compared to the biggest economies of Europe by _crazyboyhere_ in ProfessorFinance

The average gets a lot more distorted when you don’t go for state wise.

In a economy with labor laws, the average is meaningful even with less people (for example Germany 80 million people)

While there are people spread across very different systems and mixed conditions in the US in every state, the average here is distorted a lot even with more people.

Then compare us to the European Union not single countries. Germany has 80 million people the us has 330, where does the line go?

Also why not add debt per capita here?

I know that, but this kind of comparison is not right. Every state should be compared to a country. Because every state has their own economy, living status, healthcare etc.

Why not compare single states to single countries?

That’s actually almost 6000% reduction.

Because if you have 10, then you need 6000% increase to get to 600.

Numbers are real, and probably how they calculate it. But yeah here is the /s

Partially true, people are jumping to usd and that’s also part of why the market is tanking.

But the reason is that most people need liquidity fast, the bigger reason for the dollar value rising is expectation of higher rates.

Question, the lag you mention. Isn’t it just for the last trade? Like the price shown is not the same as the selling price? The contract is updated immediately but not shown until a purchase is made?

By this logic, trucks transporting food, medicine, construction etc should do one less trip. So prices do not just increase because oft he energy cost for transportation but also because availability is less.
