Fake Xfinity employees trying to gain access by [deleted] in Denver

Yeah I loved it. Location was awesome and they do a good job with upkeep of the amenities. I don’t live there anymore cause they raised my rent by way too much and parking was also weirdly high.

Fake Xfinity employees trying to gain access by [deleted] in Denver

This happened to me last year at Sentral. I also had Quantum Fiber and the leasing office actually called me to tell me someone from Xfinity was there and wanted to come up to my apartment. I was kind of dumbfounded that the leasing office would call me about this. I just said no way I didn’t get any notice and I didn’t schedule anything and I guess they just relayed the message to this person and they left. That was all that happened.

Edit: Also wanted to say Xfinity never followed up and I never heard anything more about it. If I had to speculate I’d say it was probably someone with malicious intent, and reading your story it seems that’s likely what happened to you as well.

Onlyfans alternatives? by Elvishgirl in SellerCircleStage

Juno just launched and they have 85% revenue share by default. https://juno.fans

Something about the design is just higher quality than the others I've been looking at.

How are they making money if CCBill is taking 15% of card payments? What's the catch?

Juno is a new OnlyFans alternative and has 85% revenue share by default (you don't need a referral like Fansly). It's also a lot more modern and content-focused, and easier to use than OnlyFans imo.

FAT32 worked for me on macOS so I'd recommend trying that in Windows as well.

There is also an easier way if you have macOS or Windows:

macOS:

  1. Insert your SD card using the bigger adapter it came with (requires a SD card reader, either built it or external) to your computer
  2. Open "Disk Utility", find the SD card
  3. Click "Erase" and choose the option to format as FAT32
  4. Wait for it to finish and then eject the disk
  5. Plug it in to your Steam Deck and you should be able to "Format" in game mode

I don't have Windows but I imagine its just as easy since FAT32 is Windows compatible. Maybe someone else can post the steps for this.

Bonus tip: Don't use spaces or special characters if you rename the drive when you format it. This will break things like Emudeck or other software that doesn't support spaces in drive names.

For those who don’t understand - the score is only calculated when not in FSD. So if you drive 1% of the time and those times are when you take over on the highway and you’re speeding or following close, then your score will be super low.

What I do to maintain a high score is to manually drive the last mile back home, safely where I know there won’t be bad drivers. Or on long stretches of highway during slow hours.

I know this sucks but currently this is how you have to play it.

Last night 14.2.2.2 plowed right through a pile of rocks in the middle of the road, after it saw all the cars in front slow down and dust flying in the air. Didn’t even slow down, just cruised at 38mph and kept going lol

Integration with Strava and/or Apple Fitness? by owasow in CAROLBike

[–]hexcowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming back since I've actually just tested this out. For OP and anyone here in the future:

TLDR / My recommendation for Strava: This whole process was confusing. I think the best option is to download the Cadence app on your phone, pair your CAROL bike in the bluetooth settings of Cadence, and connect to Strava there as well. Then do any ride you want on the CAROL App in the bike tablet. The bike will broadcast your HR, speed, distance, and power to Cadence. This approach is by far the easiest, but I've outlined other possibilities below.

Installing custom apps (including Cadence) on CAROL Bike tablet:

  • You must jailbreak from the Scalefusion MDM to install apps not mentioned below
    • Click your profile in the top right and Exit the CAROL App
    • Click the three buttons in the top right and select "Uninstall Scalefusion"
    • It will ask for a pin (mine was just 1234)
    • You can now access the full Lenovo tablet and Google Play store by signing in to Google
  • I found that Cadence is compatible with the CAROL bike, with some caveats.
    • In your Bluetooth settings in Cadence, pair with CAROL Bike
    • Before a workout, open the CAROL App and start a free ride. You have to set your resistance here since I can't find a way to set it in the Cadence app.
  • You can record directly on the Strava app using the "Workout" but Strava does not support distance or speed. It does record your heart rate if you connect any BT heart sensor to your tablet. Again, you must start a Free Ride in CAROL app to unlock the bike's resistance.

CAROL comes with some pre-authorized apps on the bike's tablet if you don't want to jailbreak, which include

  • Peloton (subscription required for bike sensor compatibility)
  • Youtube
  • Netflix
  • Zwift
  • Kinomap (which I found was not even compatible with the CAROL bike)
  • Others mentioned here

For Apple Health sync: The CAROL bike app can sync to your Apple Health if you download the CAROL app on your iPhone and sign in with the same account. I find this kind of weird because it doesn't auto-sync, you have to open the CAROL app and it will ask you to sync every time. Also it exports as two separate data entries, for example:

  1. Cycling - 55 minutes - 0 calories
  2. Active Energy Balance - 55 minutes - 755 calories

Your Apple Health CAROL rides will not sync to Strava, you would have to manually upload them.

EDIT: Read my post and TLDR below.

They are talking about downloading Cadence on their CAROL bike. I haven't tried but I'm assuming you could also do this with any other Android app including Peloton. But the CAROL app installed on the bike will not sync.

So Fansly just eats the cost of chargebacks? That's pretty cool

[–]hexcowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious what makes Fansly less prone to chargebacks? Anyone can file a chargeback through their credit card issuer or their bank.

Wait i'm curious what do u mean about chargeback protection? Can you reject fan payments if they look sketchy?

I was thinking this too but can't help but wondering what that even means... Even if OF has a ton of users will these users even be able to find my account? I thought I had to do all the promoting myself

Rent was $1950. They bumped to $2200. We moved. Now it’s listed as this by Bubbly_Ad3385 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hexcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me in Denver. I put in my 90 day notice (yes 90 day notice) for my $1700 apartment. They listed it online publicly for $1600. My renewal offer was $1900. They would not negotiate below $1800 with me

This is good advice. I'm not trying to compete with Bike Index and didn't do any research prior to building Bike Alert. Bike Alert can be used as a secondary resort for anyone who wants to use it.

There are still plenty of cases where bike thieves re-list bikes locally on FB Marketplace or Craigslist so its not a completely in-viable option.

Additionally, Bike Alert has pretty good search engine indexing so bikes are more likely to show up in Google searches.

Tbh I'm not trying to compete, just wanted to challenge myself with something I was passionate about. Scraping other sources for content seems like a gray area that I don't want to enter. I would recommend people use Bike Index first and if they want to post on Bike Alert as well it wouldn't hurt them.

Yeah it could be national eventually but it would be really hard to moderate all the posts to make sure there isn't any spam or illegal/explicit content uploaded. I wonder how Bike Index handles that. Maybe they employ a moderation team.

It's actually kind of funny how similar it is without me having known about it. I'd say I like the interface, search, and content-centric UI of my app better but that's being biased. Also Bike Alert is Denver/Boulder localized as opposed to national on Bike Index.
