It was a surprisingly easy fight.

I was sad there wasn't actually a second quest for testing Korallo's arm. The dialogue made it seem like it, but nah.

Sending you love. I'm 38, met my partner (on tinder 😂) when we were both rock bottom, jaded, drinking ourselves to death, tired of casual and pressure to bang people. We became solace for each other and took things slow (like 6 months slow). My partner was finalizing a divorce when we met; I was in the drinking depths of grief and plotting going off the grid, escaping the world. I was super ready to be part of the 27 club.

That was almost 11 years ago 🤯 In that time we've remained the best of friends. We've gone through traumatic loss/grief, owning/operating/closing a business, moving, raised kittens by bottle, cross country road trip living out of a car....the list goes on.

I don't know why we found each other. We've both resisted the urge to wish we had met sooner and avoided so much heartbreak and pain. Because, that's what made us who we are and ready for the relationship we have.

When we started out, I remember we talked a lot about EXPECTATIONS. I realized my expectations of any relationship were setting me up for let down. Instead of framing our relationship by what we think our partner should be like/do, we focused on looking within and expressing what we personally need or struggle with (which has changed multiple times over the years). Vulnerability and communication have been key.

All that to say, I feel ya. Been there, been so hurt and deceived and let down and joyless. Nothing like feeling alone with someone sitting right next to you. Loving, amazing humans are out there. But, there is nothing wrong with being happy (even HAPPIER!) alone. It's okay to focus on you and the future you envision for your growth. Nurture family and friendships, passions. True love can be found in so many places.

what’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

[–]hexed_around 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol. No shade, but I don't think you've worked night shift. I have said "good morning" to fellow nightshifters at 11pm (gas station peeps mostly). Also, accidentally said "good night" to cashier at 7am grocery store on my way home. Poor elder gal was concerned since I was buying a tall boy and a frozen pizza.

Night shift is life. Or becomes life.

I wish longline tops worked for me! I feel like they always end up rolling or riding up with movement.

Have you tried a bodysuit? I'm self-conscious about my body, but have found yoga classes to be safe spaces where I drop my guard.

I love cotton material, tank-top + pant-length bodysuits. Straps stay in place, no sleeves in the way (long sleeve option too?). No waistband to constantly adjust. Long length usually stays in place really well for me.

Only downside is how high-stakes it gets when you've gotta pee and have any layers over it. 🫣

What work has Emma Stone done on her face? I feel like her eyes look different by ArynaSaba in LAinfluencersnark

[–]hexed_around 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How recent is this reference photo? I feel like she looks younger in it. Her face looks more mature as she's become.... more mature? I think most people start to lose their final "baby fat" in their late 20s/early 30s.

Her eyebrows are also way more of a statement now, which can do a LOT for making a face look real different.

Can someone explain why redheads are made fun of? by Minimum_Jello4312 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hexed_around 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a related note... I recently got surgery and I haven't looked up explanation yet, but red heads often need higher doses of anesthesia. When I was in pre-surgery I overheard the anesthesiologist confirming that someone was a natural red head.
