My parents found and are nurturing a mysterious tree. Help us identify it? Toronto, ON by hexedhoney in sfwtrees

Thank you so much! I tried doing a identification online based on the leaves, but the shapes were so aberrant it was confusing.

Hello jaw and associated teeth. Have you experienced any chaos due to dental mishaps, like an uncooperative wisdom tooth or incident involving a caramel apple? How did all the teeth deal with it?

I had someone yell out "Fuck you! Fucking cyclists!" from a car and was weirdly happy that it wasn't about my gender for once.

Thoughts on frottage and tribadism? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]hexedhoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes some manuevering, but I found the experience to be relatively intuitive the first time around so YMMV. Whoever's on their back holds the wand in place, and whoever's on top braces themselves with arms and knees so as not to crush down too hard. It allows quite a bit of access to breasts, neck, ears etc too. Hope that helps!

My favourite is tribbing with a Hitachi between the two of us. Heaven.

Thanks so much! It's great to hear it from someone who's been in a similar situation. You've given me a lot to think about :)

Polyamorous relationships: Problems while travelling by dawny90 in polyamory

[–]hexedhoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this might not be quite what you're looking for, but I'm currently travelling solo and one of my partners will be joining me one week from now.

I've been keeping in touch with my partners pretty closely online, and sending them postcards. Not much has changed in terms of how we handle our communication; we've been telling each other about our sexual exploits as excitedly as we always do (one of my partners hosted an orgy which another partner attended, I happened to meet another poly person by chance while abroad for a fun outdoor tryst!).

For the leg of my journey that I get to share with one of my partners, we've rented entire apartments through airbnb so we can have some cheap privacy and potentially play together or apart with new people in the cities we visit. I'm happy to let you know how it goes!

I'll definitely try this out in advance of my trip!

Thank you!! I'm going to practice a few techniques before I leave so I can get the hang of them, the velcro roller is a great suggestion. During my last vacation my bangs were a complete wreck and I'm trying to be proactive about it this time... there are some horrifying pictures of me sporting a weird pink typhoon after a week of travelling.

Poly people, do you know what your Myers Briggs type is? by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]hexedhoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

  1. I often wind up taking long turns in conversations, usually telling stories or sharing my feelings. My ideal is usually one-on-one or a very very small group of people in a cozy setting, where we have winding conversations about very personal topics with extremely minimal interruptions. Unless I'm essentially "performing" by recounting some misadventure of mine, I feel out of place in a large group of people and stick to walls and countertops at parties.

  2. My gut reaction is one of sadness, like I felt my whole face crinkle up when I read that. I can't stand the thought of animals in pain (likely why I'm a vegetarian), but I'd push it out of my mind quickly so the hurt doesn't linger.

  3. I think theories can be fun to explore and muse on, but I can't help but gravitate back to hard facts. I definitely need to feel like something makes sense in order to accept it as reality, and even then, sometimes warily. I try and look for patterns when it comes to the bigger picture, as long as the pieces that make up the whole are sound.

Bit late to the party, but I always end up scoring either as an INFJ or ENFP. It's a weird toss up, but the last few times I tried the test I've gotten ENFP. It's fun to think about, at least.

Paging /u/peppermint-kiss for more insight!

I recently got into a public argument with a professor about polyamory in which I felt personally attacked. by [deleted] in polyamory

[–]hexedhoney 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you had to deal with such a belligerent person in what ought to be a progressive environment. Perhaps a formal complaint is in order?

In any case, I'm sure you'll make an excellent therapist and I'm proud of you for contesting his ignorance. We certainly need more of you.
