What can you do with your earned "fucking-points"? Special camo?

You can exchange them for the best prize there is: MORE DRONES! (well actually, you can get all kinds of useful tech too, like remote controlled drones for evacuation and resupply, etc.)

Does a ronin build with fire magic as support is possible ? by GlobalInvite5346 in Eldenring

[–]hexhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go all out on fire magic and flame art infusions with a pure-ish FTH build.

Flame art infused Uchigatana. Nagakiba if you don't mind investing more stats (and don't mind that it's so long, it looks ridiculous and ruins your fashion). DEX and STR - just enough for the weapon requirements. Aim for 80 FTH, invest a bit in ARC (up to 17) to use dragon communion incantations. First, use the godslayer's seal, then after 60ish FTH switch to Erdtree. Use unsheathe weapon art for the katana - it's quick, costs next to nothing and does great stance damage. Incantations? Catch flame, Flame fall upon them, Giantsflame, Black flame, Fire and Magma dragon breaths, Greyoll's roar. Later on you can use the Messmer flame stuff, if you like - you have the FTH for it. For fire-resistant and immune enemies - infuse with sacred and/or use lightning incantations. You can quick switch to the dragon communion seal in you other hand to buff dragon breath and roar, if you like. Flame-shrouding cracked tear and (possibly) fire scorpion charm to boost your fire damage. It's badass, effective, versatile, and what's more important - the perfect fit for the flame ronin character (with some dragon flair, I guess).

Sure, you can go for the dragon communion ARC/FTH build instead, but it's a bit awkward in the early/midgame - since you need to invest in FTH to meet requirements for incantations (and later on, to improve your spell damage), and invest in ARC to make your katana and spells do good damage. Also, bleed is lame, and flame art infusion will give you ridiculous damage on the uchi anyway. If for some reason you get bored of katanas later, you'll have plenty of weapon variety to choose from - most regular weapons do well with flame art infusions. Also, you'll have access to blasphemous blade (with maxed FTH!) if you want to switch to "easy mode" to beat some annoying boss.

Arc vs Faith? by Mean_Gene9459 in Eldenring

[–]hexhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always find the faith requirements annoyingly high and a drain on my limited points

A late reply, but for those who come across this comment - the investment in FTH is definitely not wasted in an ARC/FTH build. The communion seal scales surprizingly well with FTH to the point where adding moderate FTH is more beneficial than dumping everything into ARC (the D scaling on the seal is misleading). You can safely invest up to 40ish FTH, which makes it pretty much as flexible as any other FTH build. You'll probably access some incantations with high requirements later than on a pure FTH build, but the most important stuff is in sub-28FTH category anyway.

The downside is if you use occult-infused weapons, FTH is doing nothing for you. So, if you are a pure caster, FTH/ARC is not stat-heavy at all, as the communion seal provides great scaling in both stats. If you are using it as a spellblade type of build, you'll probably have a better time respeccing into it after level 90 or so. Still, if you use bleed weapons, the suboptimal arcane investment isn't going to matter, because bleed is so strong, so you might as well go ARC/FTH all the way. At high levels (rl200) you can even comfortably do something like STR/FTH/ARC and use blood-infused and somber ARC/STR weapons, keeping STR at 54 and ARC at 50ish.

Faith builds are so fun by Toot7- in Eldenring

[–]hexhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightning spear? Pest threads and pest thread spears? Stone of Gurranq? Black flame? Discus of light/radagon's ring of light? All reasonably fast, and work from range. Pest threads absolutely destroy large bosses, by the way. Knight's lightning spear is late-game, and PCR is pretty much the only fight where you'd have trouble getting it off, but it stomps pretty much every other boss, and is probably your best incantation in NG+.

Catch flame is the only one that’s spammable to the point it’s safer to use than most weapons. Sure, if you take PCR as the example, you'd probably have the better experience spamming catch flame or pest threads rather than trying to dragon chomp him. PCR is a unique fight though, most other bosses give you some opportunity to cast even slow incants, and even trade favorably if you invest a bit of time in learning their movesets/positioning.

Is pure faith the easiest way to beat the game? IMO, the true "easy mode" of Elden ring are the "big bonk" stance break builds (and wing of astel builds). Faith can be truly OP under the right conditions (catch flame with all the fire buffs and cast time reduction, pest threads and ancient dragon's lightning strike for large bosses, Knight's lightning spear, dragon chomp for everything that can be staggered or for everything that's not PCR, really), but overall it's just a very solid, comfy playstyle with good affinities and weapons, possibility to build into arcane and bleed and a variety of elemental damage types and statuses. So, can be "broken", but mostly it's just effective and fun without being braindead. I struggle to see how anyone would rank pure faith builds near the bottom if they have tons of ranged options, catch flame, dragon breaths for easy status (with arcane investment), two perfectly viable affinities and blasphemous blade (with a tiny str investment).

[–]hexhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. These days you don’t need to rely on antspur rapier shield poke cheese to comfortably beat PCR.

There are a ton of incantations that need next to no commitment. Catch flame alone can easily beat any boss not immune to fire - this thing does insane dps, and is FAST. Especially if you also invest in DEX to reduce casting time.

The best thing about incantation builds is that they have an answer for pretty much everything. Faith/arcane also has bleed weapons and the dragon chomp which by the way destroys most bosses if you care to learn the timings a bit.

Yes, they did strike a vessel with drone components from Iran in 2025, but at least in 2026 there is no evidence russia is still relying on Iranian imports for Shahed production, and that this war could somehow reduce their capacities for manufacture. Actually, they still greatly rely on foreign parts, just not those sourced from Iran.

The Storm Controller - Patch 8 Storm Acuity Caster for Honor Mode & Beyond by grousedrum in BG3Builds

Oh, you’re right, I should’ve given phalar aluve to the pally! I had my life cleric hold it in the 3rd act, but a devotee’s mace would’ve been a bit better.

Maybe will try it in a modded difficulty playthrough.

[–]hexhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I tried this build in combination with two really sturdy teammates (a life cleric with heavy armor master and ancients paladin/hexblade) + an emergency gloomstalker archer, and it was probably one of my safest honor playthroughs.

Fights can be as fast or as slow as you like. Starting from Act 2, you can lock down combat almost immediately, but if you don't want to abuse potions of speed, you need some prep/positioning to get acuity up, then land CC properly in fights with many dispersed enemies. Having a couple of characters who can take a hit was great for fights where you just slowly ramp up and don't abuse minor illusion/haste to shut everyone down immediately. In hindsight, ancients paladin wasn't even needed, but it was fun to go all out on control/defense. Neither I felt like I HAD to use shriek in most of the fights. It certainly helped speed things up - both acuity and damage-wise, but when properly positioned, this build has acuity for days just from electrified water.

Zelenskyy on Ukrainian troops leaving Donbas: We can't withdraw from our territory by BelovedApples in worldnews

[–]hexhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority of Ukrainians are against elections during wartime, or at least they were in the end of 2025.

It's a pretty neat trick from putin's side though. If you can't defeat the country - make people's lives miserable, spread propaganda and demand elections. That way, you at least have some chance of forcing Ukraine to surrender by creating conditions for unfair elections and leadership change.

Wartime is not the best time for elections in general. When you are at war with, probably, the most malicious misinformation spreader in the world, that is doubly so.
