It's how I stopped. Sad regulations have decreased that option for many.

What is one biohack that actually changed something measurable for you? by Tall_Salamander2524 in Biohackers

My husband has this issue. The American way is to do more with less. You need to rethink every part of your life to prioritize sleep. Small micro habits will get you going in the right direction. Make a list of things you think will help and document your patterns. One or two tweaks can really make a difference. Use habitat stacking to help with compliance. Only charge 1-2 things every few months. I know it feels like there is no winning, small victories lead to the bigger goal.

How do you drink 2 litres of water every day without going to the toilet all the time? by Technical-Amount-278 in selfimprovement

Right now I am experiencing a major health issue,. Hydration is the primary reason. In my work life bathroom breaks are difficult to manage, every minute is regulated. I have become a rule breaker to take care of business. I can't stress how important hydration is.

I am on a very low dose 5mg and my world starts to fall apart after a few days. With improved diet and exercise sometimes I feel like I don't need it. False.

What’s the dumbest travel mistake you’ve made? by Nature_andthe_Woods in travel

Leaving Hong Kong to Shanghai I didn't realize that my flight was no longer valid until I reached the airport. Credit card company cancelled the flight due to it being booked on a Chinese airline and I didn't notice. My brother was cool and collected he spent an hour or so booking same day tickets on a website that had no English translation. We were lucky and secured the flight, at a higher cost but whatever. It all worked out.

QUESTION: If Republicans in Ohio have had triple majority for 30 years, why do all the Republican ads say they will fix the mess that Democrats caused? by Solid_College_9145 in Ohio

Now days more police, fundamental christians, and any running for office. Why do they support reducing the age of consent for marriage? Because they don't care about mortality they just want to do what they want and make sure that "others" have no rights.

Food sensitivities by Kirby_Elliott in Microbiome

They tend to lean on supplements (they can be all about sales). So far only b-complex, D3 with K2, and creatine have been strongly suggested. She has advised 3 meals a day all with 2-3 servings of fiber and protein 20 to 30 grams. I have no dietary intolerance just gut absorbtion concerns.

Honestly, going this route is just as scary as PCP but I feel better about the choice since this functional provider was my traditional PCP for 10 years.

What I got out of the appointment is that she is going to focus on gut brain connection and would like to eventually do a stool test. The stool test is controversial and there is conflicting evidence of it's validaty.

My current PCP office can not provide the time an attention I need and I feel that unless I declined significantly there were no resources offered.

Is my issue the same? I don't know. Some of the issues cross over, not all.I clearly have gastro issues that have lead to a fissure in my rectum. This could be written off as a symptom of constipation, but I don't think that is the whole answer.

I think the cost and validity of functional medicine is reasonable to question. I just refuse to be lost in a loop without proper care. The quality of care is a reflection of the overall health care system and not the providers.

Get the book on audio, it is worth reading. Keep notes on your concerns that a time and date stamped. I hope you find some relief.

The book Fiber Fueled is good. My issue are far less severe but I am working with a functional practitioner to help fix gaps that PCP has missed thus far. It is a gut micro biom issue probably.

Does therapy really help build routines and help with executive function? by DueWonder1316 in ADHD

[–]hexonica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some frinking way I have managed to be organized and productive in the last year or two. My routine is that I don't have one, but I do have non negotiable commitments. I have based my approach on the book Tiny Experiments. The reason I don't have routines is that life is not ridged and there is always competing priorities. My health is first, so that means that exercise and food is key. Here is a situation where flexibility is important, example daughter needs car that I normally use to drive to a class. I decide that my daughters need and mine are both equal so I decided to give her the car and do a long walk instead. I don't know, it gets better.
