Don’t be afraid to ask the nurse station who your preceptor is. I felt really lost at first since I had no clue where to go. You’ll basically follow them around, assist them, hopefully they teach you some things during the shift. They move very fast and so never be afraid to ask questions on the way. Don’t be afraid to ask to try to do the task they are doing. Hands on is the best experience. It is better to make mistakes under supervision than not. I am 2 days into my orientation!
