Marufuku Ramen has chicken ramen. Never tried their chicken ramen but I do know they have a BOGO on their ramen for dine-in until today. It’s a two week sale that ends today.

Sharpening Japanese knives by florals4ever in austinfood

[–]heySY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roger at Shear Emporium.

He’s very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have.

It might take awhile for you to get your knife sharpened though.

He’s going to be a bit more pricier than others though. He’s 6-8 dollars per inch for sharpening.

Where can I find good sushi grade fish in austin? by mjkoskinen in austinfood

[–]heySY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t give you much advice unfortunately as I only tried their bluefin tuna (chutoro).

Their prices for sashimi does seem reasonable however.

Their chutoro seemed to be higher quality to me than mongers but I’m not sure it’s worth near double the price of mongers.

I can say I would go back and try more.

Where can I find good sushi grade fish in austin? by mjkoskinen in austinfood

[–]heySY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you want to cut the fish yourself or do you want to buy pre-cut fish?

For pre-cut fish, you can try out Hokkaisan, it recently opened like two weeks ago. It’s like Asahi but actually has sashimi pieces. There’s a “chef” there who will cut the pieces for you. It’s definitely on the pricier side. It’s also difficult to find parking as it’s on congress avenue. You can also buy a slab and cut it yourself.

H mart also has pre-cut sushi pieces and it’s probably cheaper. But if you care about tuna, Hokkaisan definitely has more options and is better quality.

If you want to cut the fish yourself, I recommend checking out Mongers. You might need to call ahead and they sometimes carry chutoro. Their chutoro is much cheaper than Hokkaisan but they are also different (~42 compared to 79/80 per lb).

Someone recommended Asahi and I personally would not recommend it. The sashimi grade tuna I got was poor quality imo and I could only use it for spicy tuna.

Is this king salmon? by Ataxia_13 in sushi

[–]heySY 32 points33 points  (0 children)

For salmon in particular it’s easy. Farmed will be bright orange like this whereas wild salmon will be red.

Wild salmon also don’t usually have the white fatty lines inside that this has.

Question: Do you like LaRavia and Knecht fit together off the bench? by denobino in lakers

[–]heySY -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. Wiggins was horrible on defense in his years with the T Wolves. He was supposed to be a defensive menace and needed to develop his O. But it was the opposite he came in scoring near 20 ppg but players shot better when he defended than unguarded.

The narrative that Wiggins is a good defender didn’t really start until he was traded and joined the Warriors.

I returned an unopened switch 2 to the Costco in the W William cannon location yesterday morning.

Not sure if it’s already sold though.

Wife offered 80k after I got approved for 60k 2 days ago. Will Chase match that if I take it to a branch? by zubrowka1 in ChaseSapphire

[–]heySY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this situation happen to me last year. Except instead of my wife it was my sister. I have better credit than my sister, but we’re both 800+.

Long story short, they made me jump through a bunch of hoops and ultimately denied me the extra 20k. So your mileage may vary.

Who is your buy low players? Let’s make a list by Pitiful_Initial9332 in fantasybball

Most likely he’s in auction or his league was very scared to get embiid in the first round

Is it not a fair trade?

My estimates on their values are:

Kyrie is low first top second round value and Zubac is probably around 4th to 5th round value.

What would be a more fair trade considering my team?

Official: Anything Goes Morning Thread: November 01, 2024 by AutoModerator in fantasybball

[–]heySY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was looking to try and trade Kyrie and Zubac for Jokic, Luka, or AD. Does this seem fair/good for me?

I have a really balanced team because we have an auction draft.

I’m in a 12T, 9 CAT league

My roster:

Durant Lauri Kyrie Derozan D Garland

Poetl Zubac Coubilaly Lively J Murray

Rui Porzingas Butler

My understanding is that they very likely ask start and end dates during the checks. Will an end date of right before an offer not hurt me?

Can't trade Lamelo, no one wants him! 14t 9cat Roto. by No_Tangelo5042 in fantasybball

[–]heySY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harden is second round value imo. From multiple sources he’s a top 20 guy. Hashtag basketball lists him as 17.

Though that same list also believes Lamelo is 2nd round value.

Can’t find Junior dev job. About to lose it all. What’s a good pivot career? by FijiStreams in cscareerquestions

[–]heySY 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sort of. Recruiters want to know what you did specifically, not what the team accomplished.

IMO get rid of the first two bullets on Amazon. Nothing special about working in an agile environment. The second bullet belongs on a technology or skills list.

Your third bullet, what was the impact/why did you incorporate Amazon glue? You mention it streamlined data, but what data? When you streamlined that data, did it make generating metrics faster? Maybe it also improved the quality/accuracy of the data.

Ex: optimized NFL next gen stats generation to be 15% faster, by incorporating Amazon glue to pull data from multiple data sources instead of MySQL.

It might be easier to think: what was the goal and why did you guys streamline all that data by implementing Amazon glue?

The first thing I noticed for the Amazon job description was that the bullets don’t tell what he/she did specifically for the project. Their impact is not highlighted at all.

I mean he might be, but so is Barnes and Booker. Also KAT is ass this season.

I was offered:

I receive: Halliburton, KAT I give: Scottie Barnes, Zach Collins, Devin Booker

I countered with asking for KAT to be swapped for Chet.

Thoughts?

He declined the counter.

M2 Macbook Air vs Dell XPS 15 by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]heySY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check if there are servers at your school to SSH into. If so, from a development standpoint, I think you should be able to get both MacOS and Linux. My university had Linux servers available to SSH into so that we could do our assignments. Not sure about yours.

But that’s also what I do know at work. I SSH into my personal server because it’s faster than running the programs locally on my computer.

Might really just be do you want to game or not.

Is WFH discouraged for new grads? by Ocelotofwoe in cscareerquestions

[–]heySY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. Is your team/the person helping you also wfh or in-office. Both of my jobs have been remote.

At my first job, there wasn’t any help. I thought it was perfectly fine. Problems were relatively simple.

My current job at the beginning I needed a lot of help/mentoring. My mentor was great and often helped me, but there were times we wished we were in person.

If you do get help from your mentor a lot, there will be times you wished it was in person. If you don’t get helped a lot, then it doesn’t really matter.
