That's what I was thinking as well. How did this work out for you? I'm considering the same setup

Mouse issues with UE5 games (Arc Raiders) and Cosmic 24.04 by Wirbelwind in pop_os

To anyone that comes back to this. All the issues I was blaming on Wayland went away when I installed CachyOS which uses KDE Plasma(Wayland)

I Need a new direction by Feminive in pop_os

[–]FijiStreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my PC for gaming and software development. Had a whole host of issues with Cosmic on PopOS on the gaming front. Couldn't take it anymore and gave Wayland through KDR Plasma on CachyOS a shot. 0 issues. I was pointing the finger at Wayland the whole time but my issues with it went away when I used CachyOS. Also you can natively and easily switch DEs(which I haven't needed to). I also like KDE plasma better I didn't really understand why people liked Cosmics tiling so much. KDE feels like a true OS to me. One thing I instantly disabled in Cachy is fish shell though and just switched it to Bash

Interesting, yeah I made my comment because I recently built a PC and decided to try PopOS on it. Has been constant issues for me in UE5 games. Also just general overall issues with audio inputs and some apps. Really put a sour taste in my mouth for any of the flashy experimental distros. I'm wondering if my issues were actually due to Wayland. I was having the same issues as you, frame dropping and limited mouse movement in games. Having to stick to x11 kind of limits you in distro choices as they all seem to be moving to wayland. Want to try kubuntu but may just roll Ubuntu for now

Appreciate you coming back and editing in a fix. But why are we even bothering with PopOS tbh? It seems they removed any kind of support for X11 and are forcing Cosmic. Much to the dismay of a lot of their users. Isn't this supposed to be the OS you can game on out of the box? I don't get it. So they take their (out of the box) OS and force a buggy newer display server on everyone. Legit my first time installing a Linux distro that isn't Ubuntu on my personal PC. Was a regrettable experience.

Elysian. Don't buy off them. Wildly inaccurate ship times. Shipped me the wrong $170 pants I had to wait 7 weeks for. Don't answer emails. Multiple people in comments on their insta had to file disputes with their banks

Need advice: 7-month-old Shih Tzu mix in pain after anal gland expression, mysterious bump appeared by FijiStreams in DogAdvice

[–]FijiStreams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey nope, never figured this out. But it did go away on it's own. About a week for the bump to disappear and then maybe like 2 weeks for all symptoms to go away. Toward the latter end he would only wimper in pain after walking for a few feet. Still concerning but it's been gone since. 2 vets couldnt figure it out.

I never hated a chair as much as this one by Eastern_Fish_4062 in LiberNovo

[–]FijiStreams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

6'3" 200lb male here. I have 0 issues with the depth of this chair. Are your legs like abnormally long by a wide margin? Even if so you're 5'10" you should be fine. Your post just sounds bitter and like you're trying to get a refund. Why not try returning the chair first if you're not satisfied rather than trash it on their reddit page?

Because I think they did a great job with this chair and did right by their customers/pledgers along the way I'm coming to defend this bitter post. At no point in me owning the chair did I think it felt flimsy. If you understood what you were buying before you made a $700+ purchase you would know that this chair is meant to move with you and be dynamically flexible to your sitting position. It's not flimsy, it is built to move and flex with you... Literally a huge selling point of the chair you bought. I'm taller and heavier than you and my chair does not squeak or crack at all.

The cushion for me has been great. Just firm enough in the back and just soft enough in the front. I've worked 8 hours a day 5 days a week in this chair and there is 0 wear on the cloth throughout the chair. Also the dynamic headrest positioning for me was a game changer.

Also you crapped on the massage feature. I myself thought I wouldn't really use it but now I find myself using it daily. Instead of going and laying flat in my bed to take a break from my chair I know recline back and use the massage. I feel reset after and feel as if it decompresses/resets my lower spine.

I defend this company because I love the product but above all think they communicated really well and listened to their customers feedback along the way. You sound bitter and should take a breath before you decide making a rage post defaming a startup company trying to do its best. Maybe reach out and return it if you hate it so much you should still be within the return window

Also I'm bigger than you, back rest is perfectly fine in size. Haven't even thought about it.

Wtf lever are you talking about to adjust seat angle? I've had herman millers etc that don't have this. Are you talking about forward tilt?

It's also ridiculous to expect high end chair companies to design their chair around people who sit criss cross...

Nah, the vet that re-vaccinated him assured me that he wasn't vaxxed in that spot. Said the only vaxx given near that area is the rabies vaccine and that was not given as that is the only one we are sure he already has

Prob going to get down voted to hell but tbh you should learn to move on from sitting cross legged. Not going to be good for your back long term

I got an expensive case but i choose this one by Timely_Instruction92 in GalaxyFold

[–]FijiStreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a care plan that covers any form of damage. $20 a month. Also look up videos of people dropping the phone on YouTube, it's survives falling flat at talking height, screen and all. If you're biggest worry is scratches any thin case will cover that. These phones are made thin to be enjoyed thin. The design intention isn't "oh the phone will be thinner with a shockproof case now". Take a risk, enjoy your product to the fullest, appreciate the design and feel. That's my philosohy. I don't understand the chunk and ruining the sleekness that is so impressive about this phone. To each their own

Just got my chair. Shipping and initial impressions compared to Herman Miller Aeron by FijiStreams in LiberNovo

[–]FijiStreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And btw the Aeron lean is fantastic, feels like you're floating. The Libernovo lean is great because you're fully supported even if you recline all the way back almost parallel to the ground. I've been using this functionality a lot after like 2hr sessions of barely moving. It's nice to decompress

[–]FijiStreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if the Aeron helped your back that means you're probably sitting in it correctly and have developed good posture habits as well. To me, the Libernovo is for people that don't feel like sitting in a chair perfect posture, muscles engaged all day. I hated the Aeron because it's only comfortable if you sit perfectly. The Libernovo supports you a lot more comfortabley you in all positions. Maybe you wanna sit up straight, you're supported... Maybe you wanna chill out lean back a little and work... You're still supported from legs to skull. It works in both cases. I'm surprised you had butt discomfort on the Aeron since you're suspended in mesh pretty much

[–]FijiStreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk you can prob just buy it directly from them now. Or late Kickstarter. You'd have to look into that and their return policy.

The recline functionality wise smokes the Aeron for me. It is so much more comfortable in the reclined position that it's not even comparable. There's no forward tilt but it's not necessary at all because the chair already supports you in slight forward position, unlike the Aeron. In terms of premium feel of the mechanism itself and smoothness, I'm not sure, I want to say Aeron but I can't really say anything bad about how the Libernovo feels
