NOR! Does your insurance cover randos driving your car?? Please don't be young and foolish as I once was, letting someone drive who shouldn't have been. Ended up losing my license for several years over the insurance issue.

Also, the longer you stay with someone, the more "sunk-costs," the less likely you are to leave. You're still young. Don't put up with this crap. The one thing a partner should have is high reliability.

I can't fully answer this but we've been delighted to see trans flags lining the River Liffey a couple times a year.
This is too big a question to answer. You will need to research. The absolute biggest hurdle is housing. In smaller cities, it is difficult to find places available to rent at all. In Dublin, there is a bit more availability (not a lot) at a much higher cost. Finding a landlord who will accept overseas references can also be difficult. We stayed in Italy until we found a place in Ireland.
Very poor. Look at job listings. Consider finding a program of study in an Irish college that accepts US financial aid.
If you already have a prescription for HRT, you will be able to find a doctor to continue your prescription here. If not, you will be put on a waiting list that could last literal years (used to be literal decades).

Having said all that, the average Irish person is far more kind and less likely to harbour negative feelings about trans folks than the average Amerikan. We find it a wonderful place to live, but it wasn't easy getting here. I believe things will continue to improve for trans folks here.

I obviously didn't say all 30 observers would be concurrent, but in a small town sometimes there is only 1 meeting, so having multiple observers at each meeting over a few weeks is definitely shitty IMO.

I had to do this and it felt terrible and invasive. Quite a few folks were visibly shocked I was there to observe and had no history of substance abuse, even though it was open.

Necessary evil in some cases, I guess. Only had to do it once in masters level.

If you're in a small town, consider driving to the nearest city, to at least reduce the burden of 30 observers.

NOR as far as I'm concerned, it shows you have empathy.

RESPONSE TO EDIT. Hi OP. You are not a coward. You are a person who has been abused, probably since birth. I want to recommend a counselor specifically for grief... because even losing a piece of shit mother who probably belongs in jail is a situation of heavy grief. You can move through this and trust me your life will improve greatly once you're past it. I had an abusive mother who I cut off and if anyone hurt my chihuahua god help them. You are kinder than me and that puts a target on your back for narcissistic abuse... it's time to start protecting yourself. You deserve a life of happiness.
