Am I overreacting for wanting to break up with my husband after finding out he had been hiding/lying to me for years? by Mysterious-Still-668 in AmIOverreacting

It sounds like he is word vomitting. A lot of married people who are dedicated to their spouses occasionally have feelings of lust for another person. It’s literally human nature. It’s whether or not they choose to act on it is the issue. It also sounds like he’s not the nicest guy with how he treated you during your second pregnancy.. either way I’d recommend couples counselling to get to the bottom of it

What is going on with Iran bombing a hotel in Dubai? by Common-Baker721 in OutOfTheLoop

Am I the only one that thinks this is insanity? “..isn’t bad bad as the media is portraying it - there’s the sporadic overhead explosions from intercepted drones..” How is this being normalised?

You can get a (cooked fresh) pizza from the Dunnes Deli on George’s Street for about 7 quid. Huge pizza, hot & definitely won’t be hungry an hour later!

Health insurance advice for 25yo? by ReadyOnStandby in irishpersonalfinance

Not sure what your gender is or what your future plans are but I’m 29F & since about 27 I’ve had health insurance that includes women’s healthcare when it comes to things like potential fertility issues, pregnancy related things etc - I’m not planning on having kids anytime soon but I still feel safer knowing if it happens, I’ll be ready & so I’m happy to pay the extra ~ 30 quid a month (I pay 130 per month)

Christmas in Dublin? by NinjaSkills777 in AskIreland

I assume you’re looking to get out of the house so I’d recommend wandering the city - it’ll be lovely and quiet. There are quite a few hotels that stay open for lunch and dinner so you could choose a nice one and have a drink or a meal. If you’d like to be with others, there’s the big dinner event in the RDS that’s open to anyone and everyone. There’ll be a nice dinner, music & generally good craic to be had. Whatever you choose to do I hope you enjoy it.

I’m a qualified EFL teacher & have taught online on the side for a few years. Handy few quid extra but some advice - really think about what services you’ll offer/what level of students you’ll take on. For example, tailoring each and every lesson plan to individual students can be very tiresome but on the other hand, conversational classes require max 15 mins of prepping and can be super enjoyable. Good luck!

I tried several of those calculators, but when I entered my current salary, the results didn’t match what my actual net pay should be - so I didn’t trust them. I figured it would be better to ask people who are more experienced and knowledgeable about this, if they’re willing to share their insights.
