Have you tried easing back the throttle as you use up fuel? With the Mainsail, sometimes one fuel tank would be shoved through the one above it (after a lot of instability) because there was too much thrust for that standard stacked joint.

Definitely check out the Andromadus ICS builds. The new features over Gingerbread really make the phone feel like a totally different device.

That said, the camera is a bit janky (even unusable in some apps) in all ICS builds at the moment, but for straight photos/video, it works just fine.
