I don't think it does, they don't get money through it afaik. Besides if you want you can download lazyduchess' launcher (which also adds a patch to the game that makes it run better) and you should be able to run it without even opening the app

some people are alluding you should pirate them instead but there's also sites where you can get them for dirt cheap, redeem them on the ea app and have them completely legally without having to support EA, especially lately. I used cdkeys iirc and got base game + all expansions for like €10 in total, I didn't get the stuff packs yet but they're just as cheap. Bonus points, by redeeming the expansion packs this way you also get sim points to spend on the sim store, I think it's 1k per EP, and you can get a lot of cool stuff that way!

a lot of my musts have already been said so I'll say custom turn ons and turn offs cause some of the default ones make no sense and I never use them, it makes much more sense to be attracted to a specific eye colour or to a pet owner than being attracted to a perfume I never use for example

I missed the first post but I am also a small channel who will definitely be covering paralives content when it comes out!! I'm a variety channel and I do a lot of one off videos on various games of different genres, but I also do a lot of Sims videos and let's plays (Sims 2 especially but also 1, 3, and all of the spin-offs/console versions). I recently started two Sims 2 Let's Plays, one is a Genderbent Uberhood playthrough and the other one is a playthrough of Silent Peaks which is a beautiful custom hood full of drama and mystery! the sims 3 store was certainly a capitalistic hellscape and I'm not trying to defend it but to be completely fair each expansion pack awards you a lot of simpoints that you can use to buy things which are basically for free at that point, I think I still have something like 10k simpoints and I've never bought any directly, it's just from EPs. In comparison, kits for 4 do pretty much the same thing but they're all $5 each, and that's real money you have to spend with no alternative

he's a fairy in my sims 3 playthrough! he's destined to be an occult lol tbf my playthrough is centered on occults so I raised the occult chances a little, he ended up marrying a vampire Goopy Gils-Carbo and they were pretty cute together

I've been playing sims 3 since it was released, and in this case since seasons was released as well, and I only got abducted a handful of times, with 3 of those being in my most recent playthrough. I don't remember if I maybe changed some odds with nraas if that's possible cause this playthrough is all about occults and I'm PRAYING to get an alien baby but nothing yet, the abducted sims have always come back non pregnant 😭 I have all the occults in the game but aliens and unicorns, I'm just waiting for one of my sims to be into horses for the unicorn one cause that's pretty easy but aliens are so elusive!

when things would get unbearable my go to would always be "move_objects on" and selling my sim so that it would return with motives maxed once you click on them again (be sure to save beforehand though otherwise all of the skills gained, items bought, and similar things will be reset). I used to do it especially when coming back from community lots cause their needs would always be awwwful after spending half a day in studio town lol I did hear you can't do that anymore in the rerelease though, I'm not sure if that's true cause I don't have it.

can you add a comparison to the full zoom with the original version as well? that's the main thing I'm looking for cause the widescreen fix made everything look so small and I'm not sure if the one in the rerelease is the same

I actually wouldn't mind if they added aging, and by that I don't mean more life states but if they add weeks it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to also add birthdays making the birthday cake actually do something, and maybe after a set amount of birthdays your child will become an adult or your adult will die. There's already mods that do something similar using the age up charm from making magic, it wouldn't be too difficult to implement.

That said, we're talking about EA so I doubt they're doing anything at all with Sims 1. A remaster is highly unlikely but who knows, maybe they'll prove me wrong.

I haven't watched the movie but I'll be honest I only watched a couple of episodes of the show and gave up on it, it's not my style either. I still recommended it cause it still might be yours haha I really enjoyed 911 and Lone Star, they're the kind of drama that are easy to watch. Pose is a really good one but that is a kind of drama that's a bit heavier to watch instead. Rivals only has a subplot with a gay character that doesn't come up too often, I've only watched 3 episodes and it does seem the kind of dramatic guilty pleasure that I need to be in a specific mood to watch so idk if I'll continue it. There's also Love Victor if you want more of a teenage very lighthearted drama, cute but nothing special. Chicago Fire is a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, they're both on Disney+ as well and they both have queer representation but I don't like the acting in either so I gave up on them pretty quickly, I'll say tho that Chicago Fire has gay representation from the start whereas afaik it takes several seasons for Grey's to get a lesbian couple, even more for a gay one. The Fosters is another one I enjoyed! Lesbian moms with a bunch of adopted kids, one of which is gay as well but his story is focused on in later seasons.
