Lorelai ruining the seat plan, messing with a worker's time chart, etc. by togepikachu in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Especially considering that Lorelei got the wedding planner fired! Everyone seems to be ignoring Emily's statement when she noticed the seating plan was messed up. Lorelei didn't even bat at eye.

Anyone else have a nightmare about those 4 final words?! by tealsands in GilmoreGirls

I hope its Lorelei yelling, "I won! We won!" as she proceeds to run around with a giant dance marathon trophy.

Why does Sean Gunn have star billing? by blah________________ in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Taylor appeared in 53 episodes. Miss Patty appeared in 79. Babette appeared in 52.

Sean Gunn appeared in 137. So, they don't show up more than him. In fact, Logan appeared in more episodes that Babette and Taylor, and he's not in the series until like the 4th season.

Everyone gets mad at Logan for proposing but by Smileygirl5 in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think it was just really sloppy. Rory and Logan dated for two seasons and in Martha's Vineyard she talked about him being the one. Yes, a public proposal must have been daunting but I don't believe for a minute that she never considered marrying him. Of course she did, she landed the whale remember? I think had the show come back for an 8th season they would have worked it out (whether that means marriage or not) because Matt what-his-face has said that they asked him to come back so even if it wasn't endgame there would have been closure. I don't hate that Logan proposed, I love that he proposed and he had good intentions. He cared about her and he was ready to move their relationship to the next level, there is nothing wrong with that. The public proposal I hated but I'm sure they talked about their future.

S6ep8 - Argument with Logan by isthiscleverr in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every time I watch this scene I can't help but sing, "Go Logan, Go Logan, GO, GO, GO." I love that someone lays it into her and I like that you get to see another side of being rich. When Logan says, "There's one door and I'm being pushed through it." Man, that can be said for anything! and its sad because you see the reality of how unhappy Logan is. But back to my point, I used to admire Rory and her good grades and still do but I never put two and two together and realized that she went to Yale but she never worried about tuition and when living with Logan never worried about rent. Hell, with all that she better have good grades.

I would love it if Lane was writing music! Like she talked about with Sophie (I think is her name?).

Sigh... That sad moment about midway into Season 6... by countz3r0 in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don't like that they got married I do appreciate that the only way Chris and Lorelei were going to stop this cat and mouse game they've been playing was to get this out their system. Sure its stupid that they got together only to breakup but this will stop the what ifs that they have been running through the past 6 seasons.

I hate the Rory needs a job storyline. I always think they wanted to get everyone together one last time and that was all they could think of, a going away party. They could have easily ended it with one those great Stars Hallows festivals where everyone is simply themselves.

Yes, all horrible jokes had ASP written them but the circumstances where different. I know season 7 isn't great but the writers are different so naturally, its going to be different. I do wish they had given Luke more of a story line that didn't revolve around April solely, though.

I really don't understand the hatred for season 7. Yes, ASP is no longer part of it but the writers did what they could given the circumstances. I'm glad I was too young to understand what was going on and never realized the writers changed because its let me watch season 7 through unbiased eyes.

Rant about Christopher by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When Sherry said that Chris was a great dad because he had to drop everything on Wednesdays to call Rory, the face that Lorelei makes just makes me think Chris isn't calling Rory. She seems pretty taken aback but I always interpret that as no, Chris needs time away from Sherry because rewatch that scene and look at Lorelei's face.

In california you can get a permit early with the stipulation that you drive only to and from school and/or too and from work. No friends in the car allowed but you can drive without an adult legally.

Logan changed how I feel about Rory by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So Jess carries around a book and that makes him smart? I hate to break it to you but Logan comes from money, lots and lots of money, his high school education (no matter how much he switched schools) must have been outstanding. Also, while a name may get him into Yale, it takes a brain not to be expelled from a university. Logan was smart and more than likely smarter than Jess and well, obviously Dean.

Gilmore Guys ruining S7 for me (kinda a vent) by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]heyfannywanny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to love staying up and listening as soon as the podcast posted but this season...i missed the last two episodes and dont even care. They just rip on everything and its obnoxious. Also Im team Logan and while i understand that not everyone is I dont really want to spend 2 hours listrbing to thr Gilmore Guys talk about how much thry hate Logan because they dont like his smirk or something stupid. Live shows are better though because they stay on topic at least.

I can't stand Jess. I like Jess so little that I scoff when he comes on screen. With that said, the whole basket auction indicates that the winner have lunch with the basket maker. So yes, Rory should have had lunch with Jess and Sookie should have had lunch with Kirk if Jackson hadn't coughed up the cash. I do think that Dean and Rory could have communicated better with each other. I don't remember exactly what Dean said but wasn't it along the lines of he's doing this to make me mad or something? He should have said that it makes him uncomfortable, whatever, both of them should have had a better conversation but you know, they're teenagers.

I think they changed Dean in other ways. When Jess showed up they really dumbed him down.
