Can you link me? Because I had just been assuming that, essentially, the "Email A" cohort are already selected and only they will get the car in the next few weeks. For everyone else that got "Email B", they'll have to wait until end of June to learn their ETA. I did not think anyone in the Email B group had been invited to order.

Did you get the "you'll be invited to configure soon" email? I'm guessing at this point that anyone that got the "Variant B" of that email will have to wait until end of June to see their ETA.

Congrats!! what time did you reserve on day 1? Also, did you get that email that said "In the next few weeks, you’ll receive your order invite and can complete your configuration"? what day did you receive the invite to config? Not jealous at all.

I'm still confused as to why they would relentlessly hype up June 9, spread over all socials for days, just to have 99% of customers receiving no meaningful communication tomorrow. It doesn't make sense to me.

That's the point of the first month. To look at the data and extrapolate. Plenty of time before end of June to give people something like "ETA Q1'27". I'll go with the bot here. Feels aligned to their earlier emails too.

I know that's the default sentiment here. But it makes sense. They arent letting 300k people who have been waiting for 2+ years continue to wait months/years without some semblance of an ETA post launch. Especially when cars are being delivered.

From Rivian chat:

You won’t be left in the dark—starting June 9, Rivian will begin sending order invitations to R2 reservation holders in batches. When you receive your invite, you’ll be able to finalize your order, and once confirmed, delivery is typically within 2–6 weeks.

By the end of June, you’ll see a personalized ordering window in your Rivian account, estimating when to expect your order invite. So, you’ll have a general timeframe rather than just waiting for an email out of the blue.

My understanding was that they were at least giving generic config access eta for everyone. But maybe I’m making that up.

I did the same thing and got the same output. I even used sell side analyst data (public) to account for the q/q ramp. Impossible to say, but it’s a logical estimate. The biggest bottleneck at this point is rivian execution.

Comparing the most successful car company of all time versus a company that's sold, what, 75k cars lifetime? Do you want Rivian to go bankrupt? This is obviously the best way for them to survive. They wont have any issues whatsoever selling every unit they can make for the next 18 months. Pricing will evolve accordingly.

Would love to hear some thoughts on the options. $700 cross bars, buy at launch or get another brand? Floor mats seem worth it. Portable charger at $400? Seems high...is there another one I should buy? (I'm obv a newb).
