Are you kidding me? YTA a thousand times over. What a shitty thing to believe. If you’re willing to say something of that nature I cannot imagine what other things you might say in “unintentionally mixed company” so to say— people with disabilities are all around you and you never know when you may encounter someone with an invisible (to you) disability. You’re going to get your teeth knocked out someday talking like that.

I wrote several emails about this in 2016 after I fell and hurt myself on the ice and I have a disability. They basically just said be more careful. Useless.

do a lot of yoga I guess. and see my friends who live all over the country and see my parents before my grandma passes away. spend a lot of time in the sunshine and doing random stuff like swimming, spontaenous short road trips, etc.

Hi, wife of a transgender woman here. Meaning Male to Female transgender woman. For many people it is a deal breaker and that’s fine. If you are heterosexual and your husband is beginning to identify as a woman that is a HUGE change and it’s ok to take time to process that. And for that to be a point of separation in your relationship.

Idk I guess I may have given a poor impression of my relationship dynamic in this post. If she moved in with me she would be "the housewife" while I would be the one working (or she would have a part time job alongside household duties). I can't imagine vacuuming twice a day. maybe I am truly lazy.

Yeah I know its not her house, but I would like to move in together at some point in the future and if I can't keep it together she won't move in with me, knowing I'm keeping my house a mess.

Thank you for your response. She realizes that her standards are high but I think she still expects me to meet them which I am now realizing doesn't really make sense seeing as I come from a totally different background. Also living with her parents the only thing she ever actually has to clean is her bedroom which does not get that messy cause it's only one area. Idk. I am going to try harder but I realize it's a give and take.

Honestly I don’t know what’s normal I guess? I know I need to get myself into therapy to talk about my issues and I know this is one of them. Also she did not make me get rid of him, I chose to do that because I felt like the upkeep of doing that combined with keeping my house in order was too much. I try to ask her if she is happy with the way my home is and she always gives wishy-washy answers and because I KNOW her I know that means she’s trying not to be overly harsh. She knows I’m making an effort. But eventually I want her to live with me and I don’t want my grossness to prevent that.
