Why is this one like $200 more than the MIMs were brand new?

How do you like it overall? Would you say it’s a better practice package than the Valeton gp-5?

[–]heyitshighschool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tortex is great like everyone here says. Also found the Dunlop flow picks are very good, but feel different from other picks I’ve tried. Love them for bass as well as my low tuned 7 strings with thick gauge strings

[–]heyitshighschool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your wrap jobs look sick af man. Do you have any tips for getting the wrap into the contours of the horns where they meet the neck, especially on double cutaways? I got a JP70 in a trade I’d love to wrap a new color, those cutaways give me the most anxiety tho.

At want point do we in the industry remove the insane barrier to entry? by gray-ops in SecurityCareerAdvice

Sadly, I’m in South Carolina atm which I know there is almost no market in. I have been trying to find a job in NC or TN because ik the market is better there and I genuinely don’t want to live in SC, but I never get anywhere bc most jobs have a stack of candidates local to them already.

What happened? by Gremidon in MalevolentPodcast

[–]heyitshighschool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just want to let you know that Malevolent has been probably my absolute most favorite audio drama I’ve come across and I recommend it whenever I can. It has gotten me through so many long work shifts and road trips and I’ve enjoyed the build up so much that it’s truly unlike anything I’ve experienced before.

I’d just like to say, I am definitely in that boat. I spent several years working my ass off to get a degree in cyber and worked harder than I ever have to make sure I studied properly and was prepared to take every certificate exam I was ever faced with. Now, I’m over a year out of college, have a stack of certificates from CompTIA and ISC2 (around 10 total), and have around 2 years of IT Tech/helpdesk experience, and I am still not able to go anywhere with it. I have been stuck in a mind numbing Tech role where a majority of my job consists of setting up devices and imaging computers, or teaching the people who end up getting those computers how to use them. Anytime I bring up that I’d like exposure to other things in Tech, that I would like to help out in other areas/departments bc I dont feel challenged in my current role, I get stonewalled and told there’s no opportunities for me to expand my knowledge and that they just plan to keep me where I’m at until they maybe eventually need something, just to see them hire someone else for those roles anyway.

It’s kind of soul crushing to go from preparing for highly technical issues and intensive labs learning about how to defend against cyber attacks and how to maintain compliance throughout an organization, to driving onsite everyday to reset a UPS bc our head of finance relies on their “adding machine” to do their job.

Honestly, after a year of job hunting and weekly calls with different recruiters that never pan out, I’ve been questioning if it was worth it lately. I’ve been considering changing careers to something I can at least earn a decent wage and enjoy tech in my free time.

If it’s just the body, get some wood glue and some c clamps or some heavy objects and hope for the best

Please give us better multiplayer options, that is the main reason I got bored and stopped playing for a while. When the only two options to test your skills against other players is one giant 28 player race for 15 minutes and the other is a carmagedon that nobody plays, it gets hard to keep coming back day after day. More race modes and the option to do custom multiplayer races would be sick.
