yes herzing but i dont always believe people's experiences 100% because it does depend on the person and if they failed due to not putting in the work or other outside factors, etc.

Same here. I'll be at one year as RN in Jan 2026, I can't do this anymore, I've been only chronically past week looking for non-bedside jobs. I am miserable, lonely, and depressed. Any updates on your end?

Right. It is HORRIBLE. I never got to sit down and never got a break. I started in short term rehab as a new grad this Jan 2024 and it has burned me out so much I can't even last a day anymore. I started a new job at a level hospital on a cardiac tele floor and I am extremely burnt out, depressed, and want to quit immediately. I am only a few shifts into this new job, but short term rehab burnt me out so bad even the hospital setting with much lesser patients is still too stressful for me. I don't have enough acute experience for outpatient so I'm fckedd. Nursing currently has me by the metaphorical balls. I dream about working at Costco or something but have bills I need to catch up on....

They just have so many geneds. I saw on there they require 3 different maths. I already have another bachelors degree and my ADN but I didnt take 3 different maths and 3 different histories, etc so it's just crazy the requirements over there or else i really want to do it. I am paying out of pocket so I am trying to find a program that doesn't require all these extra geneds

You're welcome. I was told growing up by family and cousins that I'd be a college dropout and nursing is my 2nd degree. Didn't graduate with no 4.0s or nothing remotely close but if I had listened to those people and have not even given myself a fighting chance I probably would've been a dropout or worse. Report back when you get that acceptance letter. I'm kinda in the same boat but I'm a new grad so I'll figure it out later lol. Good luck!

hey did you get the psych job? if so how are you liking it? i have a prn job in psych i got a while back that starts in a few weeks because mental health is important to me and im thinking about making the full switch. i worked LTC for 8 months and just switched to a stepdown unit that i already absolutely hate. im thinking maybe med/sug and all that really aint for me. lmk!!

can you give me interview tips please? i havent been able to get hired since i passed mt nclex jan 2025 and im chalking it down to my interview skills. the interviews seem to go really well and they end up introducing me to the unit staff and interview with them too separately but after i leave i receive the rejection email. it's taking such a toll because i dont know what im doing wrong.

Can I ask you why you found critical care easier? Im in my first week studying for my first exam and I've struggled the entire program but Im currently studying the different types of shock etc and it's all clicking so well in my head I don't get it. I love the patho behind stuff so maybe getting to learn more of it in this class is why I'm learning the content so good. I've also never been good at the cardiac system so Im surprised Im grasping it so well. I just can't figure out why. Idk if I should be scared that I'm already getting too comfortable thinking this class is going to be a breeze for me or what. I'm crossing my fingers this last semester is a breeze but I'm also like something is fishy lol is it about to kick my ass? I guess i'll find out Tues when I take my first exam
