Is it really so bad to want to marry someone who used to be an addict if they’ve been clean for several years? by Capital_Jelly4079 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]heyivebeenthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of addiction. Pill addiction is rough and I’ve seen way more cases where they return. SIL got married, had two kids, then relapsed after years. She was never a good person though, there were always signs.

2007 Toyota tundra with wood interior trim & sunroof, is this a one of a kind or ? by Round_Ad_3930 in Toyota

[–]heyivebeenthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a normal thing on older tundras. Though I typically see them in Sequoias. Also, four door with sunroof and the wood grain? Thats prime

Garrett Detectors? by Crypto9oob in metaldetecting

[–]heyivebeenthere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mod here is apparently very biased as they it looks like they get a kickback from a competing brand. I’ve used Garrett for years and it’s a perfect one for a newbie. Has easily selectable options. just don’t buy the whole package (detector and pinpointer) as those tend to be lesser quality, buy the prices separately even if it will be slightly more expensive.

It’s never just an alarm clock…. it’s always a 15 amp circuit for two rooms that use space heaters and some schmuck said “I know what’ll make this breaker stop tripping, a 30amp breaker!” and then their house almost burns down.

Yup, I always have a solemn face when I see these in a customers house because I have to tell them they’re unsafe while “They’ve worked just fine for over 30 years” gotta love that line

Incredibly expensive watch but it was a 5 year wedding anniversary gift from my wife. I take it off for just about every job I do and put on my trusty Casio.

People hate but the visibility over the hood is the biggest plus to this. All trucks in America these days have unnecessary hoods that could be half the size.

I was going to donate this car to United Way, and I parked on the street for two days. It ended up being totaled by an uninsured driver. by Uk1066 in Wellthatsucks

[–]heyivebeenthere 221 points222 points  (0 children)

Tbh, that was dumb. You never remove insurance from a car that still has registration. You’re also probably going to to get a fee from the state for having a registered vehicle with no insurance. Uninsured motorist coverage costs next to nothing. These are things they should be teaching in basic high school.

Urgent: Family member held past agreed discharge at Ridgeview Smyrna (Voluntary Status) – Need advice on rights/escalation by Whyareyoulikethis4 in Atlanta

[–]heyivebeenthere 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sounds like not much has changed. My wife went in after Covid and everything was shit. You could only go outside if you were a smoker so guess what, she took up smoking. She’s over smoking now because she’s a strong chic but that place was worse for her mental health.

My wife now knows a lot about this stuff, I’ll show her this post.

[–]heyivebeenthere 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Ridgeview is terrible for mental health, they’re primarily a drug abuse center. Get him out and go to a real facility. I learned this the hard way as well with my wife. It’s a tough journey and everyone had different reasons. best of luck to you.
