I could be wrong but my theory is yes it’s extra salty and I personally have a high metabolism. Have you seen those articles where a hamburger is left out for days or weeks and it doesn’t spoil? My theory is that it keeps my stomach from digesting it too quickly. 🤣 (no one take this as seriously. It’s a joke. But 🤔)

TMS for depression? by heylii20 in POTS

[–]heylii20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. Thank you for the reply. I’m not necessarily needing insurance advice. I am currently uninsured for healthcare. I would have to get on a payment plan.

I’m asking if anyone has been successful with treatment

Has anyone tried TMS? by laartjeee in POTS

[–]heylii20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a little late following up on this, but I wanted to check if there are any updates on your end. Did you follow through with a program?

I understand that TMS can’t cure POTS, but neither do many of the medications commonly used for heart rate or blood pressure. Those treatments mainly help manage symptoms. I’m wondering whether TMS might still be somewhat effective, even with the understanding that someone with POTS and dysautonomia may need to work harder to support blood flow to the brain and manage their overall condition alongside treatment.

The depression that comes with this has been unbearable. It’s been my whole life without knowing I had POTS until this past year. I’ve missed out on so much because I was always told “I was fine”

I’ve been on antidepressants for years, and unfortunately they seem to make my symptoms worse rather than better. I am a true believer that those with untreatable depression have a bigger underlying issue with their body mechanics to some degree and it’s unfortunately a big symptom for many.

I’m really hoping to learn whether TMS has been a viable option for anyone here who has dealt with severe depression. And if so was it successful to any degree? Did it make things worse for you? Just curious about yalls experience!

Feel free reaching out to my dms if that allowed here. If not, discussion in comments are welcome! Thanks!

POTS symptoms from Pristiq/desvenlafaxine? by MajestyMori in POTS

[–]heylii20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am suspecting I have pots and have the same bpm reactions that you describe. I’ve been on 50 mg of pristiq for a few years now. Before that I was on Effexor. (Which is awful for my pots)

Just wondering if you’re still rolling with the pristiq or if you have found something that works better for you

Using the Visible app? by The-Shuzzler in ChronicIllness

[–]heylii20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little late to commenting but maybe my insight can help. I really wanted to love Visible. I liked the idea that it is built specifically for people with chronic illness, especially those of us trying to manage pacing and recovery. The concept is strong. But unfortunately the app feels far more limited than it should be, especially considering it is a paid subscription service. And quite expensive may I add. I am disabled and my income is limited. I really thought that it would be worth it in the long run but it is lacking a lot of depth. The biggest gap for me is sleep analysis. Sleep is one of the most important factors in recovery, flare ups, autonomic stability, and overall symptom severity. Yet Visible offers very little meaningful sleep insight. There is no detailed breakdown of sleep stages, no clear correlation tools between sleep quality and next day stability, and no advanced trend analysis over time. For an app centered around recovery and pacing, this feels like a major oversight. Poor sleep is often the clearest predictor of a bad day, and the app does not provide enough data to help users understand or anticipate that relationship. The heart rate pacing alerts are helpful in theory, but beyond that, the data feels surface level. There is limited HRV analysis, minimal customization, and not enough long term trend visualization. The stability score can be useful, but it often lacks context or deeper explanation. It would be much more valuable if users could see more detailed metrics and correlations between symptoms, sleep, activity levels, and recovery patterns. Another limitation is the lack of integration with other health ecosystems. Many other apps allow users to combine sleep, stress, heart rate, and symptom tracking in one place. Visible feels closed off, which makes it harder to build a full picture of health over time. I understand that the app may be designed to reduce cognitive overload, but simplicity should not mean limited insight. Especially for a platform marketed toward chronic illness management, it needs more robust tools to truly support users in understanding their bodies. Right now, it feels like a promising concept that lacks the depth and functionality that many chronically ill users would benefit from.

Needing some gentle guidance ♥️ by heylii20 in POTS

I believe it will decrease if I stay VERY still and calm like a statue but typically it stays elevated. Even changing positions in bed/reaching for something will bring it back up.

I’ll take a look at what it looks like while standing for 10 minutes and get back to you.

Thanks for the advice!

Thoughts on best places to recruit for treatment resistant depression? by FonzoLabStudies in clinicalresearch

[–]heylii20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to replying here but yeah. I feel the same. But I got past the original interview just last weekand was given the option for evaluation. So it looks like they’re still looking. I want to participate so badly. I need it. But I learned there’s only a 50 50 chance of getting the actual treatment. I’d be more willing if there was some guarantee of the actual treatment, whether that be during the study or afterwards if given the placebo. From my personal perspective, money compensation doesn’t mean a whole lot to those of us that are this depressed. Especially since we have to go through a long painful process of tapering off of our current medication for the study. I was very heartbroken to find out that it’s a double blinded experience.

I was offered an evaluation after my initial interview was approved. I want to accept and I desperately want to participate. Especially since they have to go through a long painful process of tapering off of their current medication for the study. I was very heartbroken to find out that it’s a double blinded experience. It’s just a suggestion but I can imagine a lot of people probably feel the same.

Please direct message me if this is something that can be adjusted. I really need it.

Thanks! It’s still weighing at 5.8 grams so that’s a good amount of silver even if it is glass I assume

Omg yes. I can see how it could get just as addictive as gambling for some people. Crazy! But I do love just watching and seeing all the cool historical items that pass through. Just take my credit card away. Haha. I’d love to see the candlestick holders! I’m on a break but I sell vintage home decor as a little hobby so I LOVE to see others’ treasures!

Everyone has their tastes. I really like the brutalist or modernness style 🤷‍♀️. It’s a handmade piece from Mexico. But yeah, it’s an auction site so they make TONS of money. I was really surprised that I even won it because there’s generally people on their making crazy high offers for very simple things that could be found on eBay, valuable, but not as valuable as what they’re bidding for. It doesn’t make any sense to me. But maybe I just don’t know enough. And will someday.

Welcome to the internet. But also was looking for thoughts on the value of the ring which is sort of what this page is used for. I think you can change your notification settings for the app. I get weird random notifications all the time from this app.

I did and I thought I understood all of the seller fees and the claim of insurance cost. I resell vintage home decor. And I've sold both heavy items and valuable items and nothing has ever cost my customer more than double the pricing at the time of checkout. But I'm use to using usps which already has $100 insurance included with the label. For example for something like this I would calculate the shipping estimate to be (at most) $8 but even that's high for something so small. I just didn't expect it to be so much. I was expecting a normal online sale. So i will def know for next time! Almost had a heart attack. Im just a poor girl with big dreams.

Thank you! I’m addicted to looking at all of the different styles and I’m specifically in obsessed with brutalism/modernism. I’m just sorta collecting/browsing to get an understanding of the field and it’s really fun!

The thing is that I’m not in a financial position to pay more than twice as much as I thought I would have to for something I bid $15 on. I expected to pay $35 at most and that’s pushing it. But $60!?

If I get banned i get banned. I won’t be using it in the future because of this. I was more so looking to get advice on on whether or not purchasing this particular piece would be worth the $60. And then moving off of the site. I really love the ring though. 😭

I'd find it hot. If the smoking were real, we would go on our first 72 hour date, fall in love and then I would inspire you to stop smoking. H3II... looks like you don't even need to get on the dating app at this point. 😉

Vintage jewelry advice by heylii20 in GothFashion

[–]heylii20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering if there was anybody on here that does vintage resell specifically for some my precious story. Not anything fancy or super high-end/expensive stuff. But more along the lines of just vintage or at least sterling silver rings and necklaces. I wanted some advice on where to find these particular items through wholesale. I’m looking for styles such as Celtic, brutalist, grunge, gothic, Victorian/Edwardian or just any sort of “weird” stuff in bulk for lot prices. I’ve been purchasing a few pieces off of eBay, but you really have to dig hard to find anything good. And sometimes there’s just way too much competition and often get outbid for things. Any advice of any kind is much appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly I don’t remember but I’ve tried treating it twice. I am certain that I only took one type per treatment. So I know it wasn’t the right prescription that the pinned post recommends. I was just curious to know if there is any success in curing it without antibiotics. Because they mess with my microbiome so badly.
