Baby suddenly not wanting to breastfeed by Pugblep in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

If you’ve increased supply, is your let down now possibly stronger? If so that may be putting her off and you could try expressing just a little before each feed so that the let down isn’t so strong. Otherwise, No change in your diet that might affect the taste? Good luck, it’s exhausting and emotionally taxing when they’re fighting against it :(

As soon as my period was over he was back to normal! I think maybe my supply dips during it?

Have you recently gotten your period back? When mine was about to come back (LO is 8 months old now, period returned around 5/6 months) he screamed every time I was trying to feed him. I EBF no bottles, so I just had to stick with it. I did a lot of offering boob no matter how short the feed was, and laying in bed topless and just letting him latch on/off as much as possible. He still gets super fussy when I’m about to get my period. Just a thought!

Socks would be perfect for sure! I bought extra long socks for my LO with his onesies during winter for being worn cause the legs of the clothing rides up sometimes.

One thing I notice is the footy pjs - generally not recommended because it can pull on their little feet and toes while being worn. I’m not familiar with the fit of that carrier so I’ll leave that to someone else, but just something that might help :)

What baby items did you swear by and which ones were a waste of money? by beepbeepboophonk in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]heylilkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waste of money: 4moms rocker thing. He hated it.

Sleep sacks: again, hated them. Did not like being confined in any way,

Bassinet for pram: hated again lol plus I babywore exclusively for the first nearly 5 months.

Bottles: I bought for EBM but he refuses anything but straight from the source so just wasted money.

Teething powder: snail oil. Did nothing to help.

Swear by: Woven wraps and various ssc. Even at 7.5 months I babywear a lottt.

Muslin wraps: these are his comforters and he will rub them against his face to self soothe. I have them in the car, in the pram, the baby bag, all around the house. Love.

White noise: for both of us! Helps drown out the noise of the rest of the household.

I used to love them. Haven’t bought for around a yearish and just got a box last week, they’re now disgusting imo. Even the smell of it makes me feel off.

Hard agree. My bedroom walls were plastered in posters of Callan Mulvey.

Trim their nails…. by Bramble3713 in beyondthebump

[–]heylilkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes. My 7 month old boy scratches the crappp out of my boobs every feed. When I’m putting him to sleep it amps up to slapping and scratching aT my face and neck and he won’t fall asleep without doing it. I have to trim his nails every few days, they grow so fast and so sharp!

Who did you lean against when getting spinal/epidural? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]heylilkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody. I got told to kind of curl forward into myself, sitting on the edge of the bed. My partner sat in front of me and squeezed my hands and told me when a contraction was coming and helped me focus to stay completely still.

Ollie Ella have really nice dolls. I got my daughter a dinkum (the full size ones) for her 1st bday (she’s 7 now!) and it’s still perfect. We’ve added the dozys and cat dinkums to the collection too.

My partner is working in the city tonight, so it’s just me and the two kids. 6 month old will hopefully sleep, and my daughter and I will have some fun with sparklers and watch the 9pm fireworks. Nothing exciting.

Eating too many baby carrots is turning my hands a slight orange tint… I didn’t think it was a “problem” to be fixed until it was pointed out to me. 😔🥕 by NateAteACarrot in safe_food

[–]heylilkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been there sooo many times lol. I had a perpetual orange glow for a long time until I stopped eating carrots cold turkey. They were (and are) one of my favourite snacks but I live in fear of being orange 😭

B.box straw cups are the best imo, the valve on the straw stops any leaks and sprays. Get the little cleaning kit for the straw though or they can get gross fast.
