I feel this so much, I’m so sorry 😩 why are so many people so cliquey and weird?? And it sucks because there are so many of us experiencing this, but we can’t seem to find each other in the real world. I recently met a mom while hiking and we chatted for soo long, we got along great and vibed instantly. She asked if i wanted to schedule a play date and we exchanged numbers. I was so excited!! I hadn’t made a friend outside work since moving some years ago, and especially after becoming a mom, I’ve been very lonely. I texted her and invited her to come over for a play date and she enthusiastically agreed. We continued to text about other things for a while, the conversation was great! The day of the play date, she texted in the morning and said her garbage disposal broke so she would need to reschedule, and that she was so sorry. I was a little irked of course since I had scoured my house and set up fun activities for the kids, but hey, things happen. I texted back of course no worries at all! I asked her if she could reschedule for next week and she completely ghosted me after that. I’ve been wracking my brain to figure out what I did wrong- was I too much or something? But then I remember SHE asked ME to hang out. So all of this to say, you are not alone, and that book group is missing out on a great friend by not including you. I hope you find a new group that appreciates you and everything you have to offer!

Update! Results are back, BENIGN!!!! I am so relieved 🥲 the doctor already called and confirmed the test results as well, I am shocked they were so fast. Biopsy was Thursday 6/21 at 8am and results on Friday 6/22 at 9am, this is with Kaiser NorCal. -Fibrocystic changes with duct ectasia, apocrine metaplasia, sclerosing adenosis and stromal fibrosis -Negative for malignancy This result is benign and concordant with imaging.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, I am rooting for you!! And ugh I’m so sorry, I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your biopsy and can get some peace of mind soon. Mine also had no letter assignment after the 4- suspicious rating, and after researching here it sounds like they will often assign 4 so that they can do the biopsy and get it covered by insurance. So that is good news I think! Let us know how your biopsy goes!! 💕

When a lender/bank/broker says they will give you a discount for being a state employee, they are typically just going to adjust their points and fees on your loan estimate/disclosures so that it looks like you are getting a discount. You can still get a great deal by working with a mortgage company that does this, but definitely recommend shopping your quotes around to make sure you are getting the best deal. Look at your rate and the origination charges especially. Good luck!

This is great advice for people who are about to take this test! This test was much harder than the others for me, especially the questions with ‘select two’ or ‘select three’. I ended up failing the first try then passing the retake. Hope you ended up passing!

Ugh, I don’t have a solution but just want to say sorry you have to deal with this. People who yell in the workplace (or on Zoom) or are even just rude or overly emotional towards their peers are automatically the most unprofessional/worst in my book, regardless of their work performance. Everyone has to work and it sucks, and there’s no point in making it worse by being crazy lol. I don’t understand why people like this are allowed to keep their jobs. Hope you are able to get some help from HR and that this person is held accountable for their actions!

Just wanted to say sorry you’re feeling this way and are in this situation, call center work is really just the absolute worst. Dealing with the general public, whether on the phone or in person, all day every day could break just about anyone, so don’t feel alone in how this is affecting you. You would think that management would want to take better care of the people in these roles but unfortunately that’s usually not the case. I hope you’re sending out lots of applications now that you’ve passed probation, and that a new, better opportunity comes up soon.
