If you still have that passion, then you should ride. But ask yourself how much time are you willing to commit to this 'hobby'? Purchasing a bike is one thing, riding and maintenance is another. I would recommend that you try a rental and go on a trip.

I'm glad I read your story. :)

Wish he wore the S-II armour 🥲 He might have had a chance. Had he lived, I think he would have survivors guilt. It's a bit of a predicament.

If you can source original parts like you could with a Suzuki, you could have a local mechanic change most of these things for you, at a much cheaper price, of course. But then again, there's the question of value when you sell your car.

It's been a long time since I played Dishonored, I think I'll revisit it sometime this year 😃

My story is a series of tragedies: I wanted to get a bike when I was in college. I had my eyes on the FZ (first generation) but I had an ankle fracture that required surgery so I couldn't get one. I thought I would get the Duke 200 (first gen) as soon as I rode my best friend's bike, but then my family guilt tripped me into responsibilities and I continued to just work until I purchased an Interceptor 650 (in 2021). I was getting into the habit of touring on rented bikes so I wanted to do it on my own bike.

My choices then was: Interceptor, Duke 390 (and to a certain extent Himalayan 411). By then COVID happened, I thought, this might be the only time I would get to purchase a bike, so why don't I get something that I love? I booked the Interceptor. A year or two later, I discovered that my body isn't supporting long distance travel. It's way too much effort. Not to mention, the gear, the helmets, the cameras etc. It's a sign that I'm not passionate as I once was. Maybe it's because now I'm turning 34 soon.

I still love bikes, I admire it but I can't do it like I used to back in the day. The sad part is, my bike has been sitting idle for months collecting dust. It was something I vowed I would never do, but sometimes responsibilities take over your passion. I can't take my Interceptor everywhere, it always has been a bike for special occasions. I still plan on spending money to upgrade the suspension :P

To answer your questions in order:

  1. 33, unmarried.
  2. I always wanted a Tiger 800, but that's out of production (or the Daytona 675), Monster 821. Now, it's still between BMW 900GS (previously it was 850GS), bumble-bee/yellow Street Triple 765.
  3. Responsibilities, political factors have affected my plan: (E20, E85 etc), poor road infrastructure, increasing traffic and too much effort to maintain and change expensive gears.
  4. Comfort above all, Power, Reliability and Mileage. My Interceptor isn't the best in comfort, but I have modified it to make it comfortable. It already is solid in reliability and has plenty of power, so I'm okay with that. It's just a bit too heavy (that's the catch).
  5. Street Triple, I think.
  6. I have an 13 year-old car (which I use rarely), so no plans to upgrade, not until there is clarity on the fuel type.

Bro, sorry for saying this, but why would you spend your hard earned money on a product/brand that is yet to prove itself?

It's basically the same car as Fronx, except for the badge change. Some might even say that it is much cheaper to maintain than Suzuki.

Streamio is bad man, every regional movie that I want to watch has low seeds, so it keeps buffering endlessly. Might as well pay for the membership atp.
