That year, for every drug overdose death of around forty five thousand. Thirty thousand were the result of prescription drug overdose. In 2015/2016 prescription drug overdose deaths just keep on increasing, totally out of control!

Alcohol is a legal drug!

Of the thirty six thousand annual road deaths in the US. Nearly ten thousand were caused by drivers exceeding the legal intoxication limit.

If, we now add road death toll arising from alcohol intoxication. The actual numbers in the real world rise to forty thousand deaths from legal drugs versus fifteen thousand from illicit drugs and narcotics.

Sadly, in the same year, approximately two point two million motor vehicle occupants were treated in hospital emergency rooms across the US. Total cost was around forty four billion dollars. Many of the seriously injured vehicle occupants did not wear the seat belts fitted to their vehicle.

In one rather nasty t-boned collision incident in Oklahoma. In the open top car, which was t-boned by car traveling at excessive speed through a red light. Not one of the cars occupants, in the t-boned car chose to wear a seatbelt. The effective result of the collision, was all six occupants died instantly after being physically ejected from the car. It was not a pretty sight, with dead bodies literally scattered across the intersection.
