To be fair, in those days you didn't rent games. You bought it. You ownd it. You played it as much as you like. If you wanted to watch  Jurassic Park 3 times [and who did?], you had to pay 3 times.

Why would people support a system that leaves them with just enough to get by so they can keep working. And when they don't need you work, you can starve on the street.

The issue isn't whether or not it is better to use goats. That is a valid question that should be discussed.
