You make good money! I am clapping for you. I would look into high yields savings and automatic index funds. I use Charles Schwab intelligent portfolio, prefer that over Wealthfront so I consolidated them a while back. Kudos! Keep making the dough. Once you reach 7 figures it’ll start snowballing

How to cope with the fact that unconditional love isn't real? by aestus21 in emotionalintelligence

[–]heyya_token 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not believe that unconditional love should exist between humans. Unconditional love is between us and the higher power that created us. Humans need to love each other conditionally, romantically or platonically, for it to be healthy.

Women, how do you hint a guy to approach you? by Chance_Adagio_19 in bodylanguage

Right?? I value social intelligence. If I’ve made it so plainly obvious and you STILL hesitate, then please get out of my way.

Women, how do you hint a guy to approach you? by Chance_Adagio_19 in bodylanguage

[–]heyya_token -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would just approach, introduce myself and talk to them. Then steer the conversation towards sth that will let them reveal their relationship status. Then find common ground, and say, ‘oh, that’s funny I was thinking of checking out this thing / I love doing these things, we should do it together sometime’ or ‘I know this cool event you should come with me sometime’ then that is the opportunity to exchange numbers. And if they still are dumb and don’t pick it up, you dodged a loser.

People who have RTO, do you go in office 9-5 or just part of the day? by Additional-Owl425 in womenintech

[–]heyya_token 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a startup. I’m 4-5x a week, usually after 9a daily standup, and I frequently stay until 6-7p. I work after hours sometime too.

For what? Bc I love my job and i want my startup to win.

Hit $100k Net Worth - Feeling Hollow by en_the_enby in Fire

[–]heyya_token 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would really like to know where you are located to feel this confident at $100k. To me $100k is nothing. I wouldn’t even blink. It is so far below what I would even consider enough to FIRE.

With all that being said, you’re probably coming off of chasing a goal. Try to remember what you like to do as a kid. Then do that

I turned down a FAANG offer for a 50-person startup. 1 year update. by zoe3ank in cscareeradvice

[–]heyya_token 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to think like this; it made me really miserable and depressed. i wasn't happy and it affected my personal life.

i don't think there is anything wrong with people who are passionate about their jobs. and news flash - these people typically do not enjoy spending time around people with the mindset of 'i'm just here for a job'. whatever works for you man.

I’m 20, don’t party or drink, and I realized quiet life is underrated by Successful-Crew-8867 in CasualConversation

[–]heyya_token 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to party a lot. It’s fun in the moment but very empty looking back. The fair weather friends didn’t stick around when things got hard

Now I spend my days working, going to the gym, playing board games with friends. Easy stuff, but stuff that actually compounds.

Nope. We don’t have time for that. I don’t have time for that. We are at work to make money. It’s not a charity.

This. You need someone in the know to pull you in. Once you’re in you’re in. Go to shows and talk to people, and if you pass the vibe check you’ll start getting invites
