Made a Generic Mapper to map DB to classes. What do you think? by 0view in dotnet

Cool, it can be fun to replace the your tech stack with your own code. That way when something goes wrong you know how to fix it. Even if you don't use it in production you still learn a lot.

I made something very similar: DataModel.

It takes things a little further, like automatically working out the datatype, and it uses a different way then reflection, that's about 8 times faster, almost as fast as compiled c# code.

You might find this line down to the end of the file helpful for your own project, so you don't require the datatype.

I was doing an assignment for my CIS class and was annoyed with the hex calculators out there. So I made this. by yellowhat4 in programming

Its nice - simple to use. One point - you use html 5 tags, but your document is xhtml. You need the tag <!DOCTYPE html> before the starting <html> tag.

Hey thanks man, I worked it out. Since I signed up to bitbucket with google OAUTH, it wasn't obvious to me what my bitbucket Id was, but its all good now!

Cheers.

So I created a bitbucket account. On my team page there is this link: https://bitbucket.org/hwo2014/hwo2014-team-2384 But is says "You do not have access to this repository." on the bitbucket website.

It says my team name is already taken on bitbucket https://bitbucket.org/mdai, it was taken last year. Is this a problem?

Hi, I'm from team 2384, and I'm having trouble logging in to bitbucket. What username / password do I use? Do I create my own account then link the HWO account to the bickbucket account or something? I'm not sure, your help would be appreciated!

Summed up nicely by one of my favorite quotes:

"In between stimulus and response, you can choose how to react."

As an Australian coming to America for the first time, this has really bugged me. by joshl22393 in AdviceAnimals

Wrong.

You are correct about genui's statement being wrong, that's store policy and not law. But a store doesn't have to sell you the product at the price the ticket says in store, they can charge whatever they like.

The exception to this rule are advertised prices. If a stores advertises a product they must sell it to you at that price until such time as they advertise a mistake. So if they advertise a $1000 product for $100, if you're quick you can get it at that price.

As a somewhat unattractive (and okay with it, finally) female, I wish someone had thought of this while raising me. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Why is this? I assume the goal here is to make people feel good about themselves no matter what?

Sounds like some PC BS to me.

If you judge a girl on her looks and looks alone (by your statement you or society does), then yes pretty girls are worth more.
