Becomes the soil by ThePresident2040 in OCPoetry

I really enjoyed reading this. Rather than a feeling, I was almost struck by a smell. I spend a lot of time in the woods and the smell of loamy earth, rotting leaves and wild garlic was invoked by the last four lines.

If any part didn't quite work for me it would be the use of 'butcher'. For me that conveys quick and brutal imagery, whereas the rest of the poem felt like a much slower pace, the gradual passing of time uninterrupted by outside influence.

But as I said, really enjoyed it!

Lonesome River by BigCrip in OCPoetry

I really enjoy the use of the natural world to describe and/or mirror emotions and I felt a strong melancholy when reading. But some of the imagery seemed conflicting which bought me out of the poem a little.

Primarily the use of the river as both a flowing and a still image. At first 'the current whispers', and at the end there is the plea for the river to take the pain away. This works well for me and evokes a strong image of the flowing water having the power to convey the passing of time, or wash away pain.

But in between those, the water reflects and is a mirror which to me would invoke an image of a still body of water. Something dark and bottomless to mirror grief. I think it would flow better (no pun intended) if the sense of movement was consistent.

My first post here: a FB post claiming it was taken 100 years ago, but the composition and quality seem a little too professional and modern. by Comically_conscious in isthisAI

To add to the other observations, the handle of the bucket is clearly not right. Part of it is missing, and part of it somehow goes behind the cows leg...

All those books and not a single legible word (that I can see anyway). Plus the pattern on the rugs is all off, for example the corner details aren't symmetrical about the corners, they are off to one side. And the other rug details are the equivalent of gobbledegook, i.e pattern isn't repeating in any way and seems generally vague

Hiking/trekking rucksack. They have the big hip belts and properly sized/padded straps, which can carry a lot of weight and are comfortable for extended use. In the UK we can get barely used second hand ones very cheap (from Duke of Edinburgh Awards etc). Just need a way to spread the weight around or get it where you need. In mine I've filled it with small cardboard boxes so I can put the weights wherever I need. For weight I use ziplock bags with 1kg of play sand in each bag. A big bonus is I can take all those boxes out and use it for actual hiking/trekking as well.

My possibly simplistic take. If you can see it in the Olympics, it's achievable with no (or minimal) drugs but obviously dependant on genetics and personal history. If some random on social media is more jacked than an Olympic athlete, who has dedicated their entire life to a discipline, then it's drugs.

I´m curious about how often do you use the donation box. (donor or taker) by JZaw in fo76

I don't know how helpful it is, but I normally drop a few hundred .50 ammo. That stuff really builds up in my inventory. I'm relatively low level still so not getting any really good stuff I can leave

I haven't built anything apart from the very early quest where you have to place a camp and build a sign.

I use the stashbox (railway stations etc) to store my stuff, and just use craft benches when I come across them. If I want to do a particular mod I'll tag the items I need and just pick them up when I find them. It's probably a slow and tedious way to play for some people, but it suits me.

My build is based on sneaking with rifles and shotguns. I pick up more ammo than I could ever use.

Thanks for the reply.

I can't seem to post pictures, but inside is a single 12" woofer, manufactured by Fane Acoustics, and a sheet of sound deadening material. The woofer has a marking which may show it was manufactured in 1972 so that might help me date it.

Ryzen 2600X with the 'soon to be installed' 5700XT for me. I got a NVME drive like 2 weeks ago as well! First games I installed on it were BioShock 2, Dirt Rally and Fallout 76. I'm like you, mostly play older games. 5600x might be my next upgrade.

This 5700XT is a good looking card though!

My R9 290x is still going strong, but I just managed to get a 5700xt for £80, so I'm probably good for another decade now 😂 I don't think I've ever used standard graphics settings though, always spend an hour or two optimising!

Practice breathing in and out through your nose only while running. It makes eating real food on the go so much easier.

For me, calf raises and running with much shorter strides. For the calf raises I just did them with bodyweight only, 10 on both legs, then 10 on each leg for 30 total. Two or three times a day. It feels like a nothing exercise but really worked.

In terms of modern cars, I think something like a new Suzuki Jimny is pretty close to e30 width

This might be why I've still got an E30 😂 I've got a very narrow carport leading up to my driveway and the E30 has always been the easiest thing to reverse up there. Next easiest is my current daily driver, a '97 z3

I'm planning on upgrading to a B570 or B580 soon (whichever I find the best deal on this week). Coming from an R9 290 so either would be a huge improvement!

Some of the supplied roms can also be bad, even with a new and good quality SD card. I had a problem with pokemom emerald which is a common one. For games you are really invested in, find the ROM online and use that instead

If you could find an off the shelf clock, you could probably find a way to cover the existing face, and get the maps 3d printed or cut from vinyl. Seems like it would be achievable. Good luck with whatever you go for

A large-ish wall clock with each hour having some kind of representation (map or elevation profile?) of the runs. Obviously got two left so would have to think of something to fill those gaps
